    Hiya everyone

I have just paid 12.23 off my catalogue taking the balance down to £70 - my payment is due by the 28th which works out at a payment a day £3.68 so I am going to try and do this! If anyone has any ideas on how I can make / save this each day that would be fab

    Thanks xx

Hey Muffin, the thing that springs out to me is lunch - do you buy lunch each day? If so, that should pretty much cover it. Do you have a magazine habit or smoke? Cutting back a little there would help you get there.

Can you knock £25 a week off your food bill? Storecupboard challenge?

It's a very achieveable target but still challenging, so let us know what you decide to do and good luck :)

Hi everyone, I haven't read all the posts yet since my last post, so i'm sorry if this has been brought up before.

How are people declaring how much they paid...Are you counting all your normal minimum payments on cards or just counting any extra overpayments made?

I've declared a £8000 target and got my number (Thank you:) ) but that is the target of overpayments I want to make in the year (if i can manage it) so doesn't take into account all my monthly min payments that go out... just interested what others are doing and how! It's a high figure but it ouldn't be a challenge otherwise right? ;)

    Thanks! :)

Hi Turia, it's entirely up to you :)

Some people are counting all payments towards the debts, I'm just counting the amount my balance reduces by. So if I pay £300 towards a debt, then they add on £295 interest, I will count the £5 that my debt has reduced by as my payment.

I'm starting to wish I'd counted all my payments, I'd feel like I was getting on much better than I am :rotfl:

There's no 'right' way - it's all money off the debts after all and that is the main thing!

I'd love to join the challenge even though I'm new! I have a cc with £4000 of debt so I would love to pay that off! Not sure how but it's worth a try!

Welcome floella, I shall add you to the first page. Good luck and keep posting to let us know how you get on :)

    Hello

Non smoking still going really well and have planned all my lunches for this week so putting the weekly £30 in early. Also did my tax return and turns out the tax man owes me a sizeable chunk. Will confirm amount once it's definitely in my account and that will be going towards my debts. Hurrah!

Great news on the tax refund and non smoking KLee :j

Welcome honeybear - I've put £784 as your target and £84 paid. Is that correct? Well done on the payment. :)
