Hi All
Last payments of the year for me, £225.98 for bank loan and £70 to credit card, making my total for the year:
£3925.19/£6500.00 60% paid
Didn't reach my target but I think 60% is pretty good, atleast it's over half!
Will keep up with the thread until it closes and will see you all on the 2012 one. Big thanks to Jwil for running it and for everyones encouragement to each other along the way.
Have a great Christmas all and good luck to us all for next year!£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Oh how horrid Seaside Dreamer
We are getting paid early (well not as yet but have been told so)
Well this is my last total update report as I wont be paying anything more off debt this year and I am finally credit card free :j I didnt quite reach my goal but I am happy with what I have achieved this year in terms of debt busting so my final total for 2011 is :
£7,466 / £10,206
I have made my target next year £7,500so hopefully I can achieve that by now paying the money I would have put on the card payments into the loan.
See you all on the 2012 challenge
I know, it would have fine if we'd known at last pay day. Shock to most as we always get paid last working day before Christmas. I've just enought o cover the bills but annoyed it means I cant even really afford Christmas Eve drinks as is our tradition...hopefully my bro will shout me a few:)Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Hi ya another 2 payments went out today £289.57 paid new total below once i know I am gonna be paid i will make another payment may be enough to bring it to under £5000.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a debt clearing new year!!

Work have helpfully decided not to pay us Christmas Eve as they always do and make us wait until the 30th. 9 days notice is really not helpful:mad: So instead I'll be raiding my toiletries savings piggy bank so I will hopefully have enough to pay the £80 I need to pay on the Amex I use and avoid extra interest. Looks like a quiet Christmas for me then!
That's awful! I can't believe they are paying you a week later and not giving you any notice!
I don't get paid until 30th but that's always the case, they've never bought it forward for Xmas, so I'm used to it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

My total paid off this year is £15,614.91/£21,000. Not quite as much as I'd hoped, but it has been a stressful last few months with my mum being ill. I'll pop over and join you all on the new thread with a more realistic target for this year.
Sorry to hear about your mum Rachel, but you've done really well and it will be good to see you again next year"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Same with me, I get paid the last working day of the month. Which is the 30st in Dec. Suits me,at least I have money after Xmas:). Well, for a day or so as I always make my overpayments asap.0 -
Thanks for the updates everyone. I've just done the half-month totaliser and we are just over £14k so not bad and we've paid over £550k now! :T
Going to send the spreadsheet home so I'm prepared for month end."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
