Gosh phoenix_dragon - you are almost at your target - well done - does it feel good? :T I see Eltee 12 - also close to your target. Well done :) I cant wait to be close to my target.

JWIL - please can you update my total when you have time. Finally sorted rent arrears so currently :

    #134 £6,156 / £10,206

    thanks :D

LAM, it feels great. I have four loan payments left, and then I will be debt free. I never thought I'd get out of the hole I dug myself into.
HSBC Credit Card £608.69, HSBC Overdraft: £4123.67, HSBC Loan: £8,270.69
Lloyds Credit Card: £1418.62, Very Account: £518.99, Barclaycard: £126
Total Debt as of 9th June 2020: £15066.66
  • Well..... I'm pretty much back to square one thanks to my need to have everything NOW and not being able to wait while I save up. :o

Amount I've managed to add to my debt this month is an eye-watering £15,000

HOWEVER I would like to redeem myself a little by saying it was happily offered to us by OH's parents (father-in-law just retired and got big pension payout) as an interest free loan to get the house sorted in time for when the new baby arrives in December.

So it's gone on rearranging the house so that we can squeeze in another bedroom for the new baby, which has ment moving both the kitchen and bathroom.

Did it NEED doing?.... not straight away, no. It could of waited till next year, but the offer to get it done now, before little one arrives, and all interest free was just too much for me. I'm weak.

Soooooo.... I'll definitely be on next years thread but at least all the hard work we've put in this year has ment all the credit card, over-draft and tax debt is gone. So debt currently stands roughly at:

    Parents: £15,000
1% APR student loan with Natwest: £6,000

Hoping I can get this down to a nice round £20,000 by the end of the year.

Oh well.... it's nice to read that at least everyone else is doing really well :rotfl:
    Parents - £4000/£0 paid
    OH parents - £9000/£0 paid

    Mortgage - £125,000/£0 overpayments
  • Awwww.... I've just read 'Kitten_Pie's post on the DFW board :(:(:(

Stuff like that really puts things into perspective, especially given that her baby boys were due the same time as my little one :(
    Parents - £4000/£0 paid
    OH parents - £9000/£0 paid

    Mortgage - £125,000/£0 overpayments
