Big day for me folks - paid off my last credit card - from £28,300 at my light bulb moment (Dec 2008) to £0 as of half an hour ago.:j

Still got the car loan and mortgage to go - but hopefully the first one will be gone early next year and the mortgage in 3 years.

Keep up all the hard work everyone

First of all massive congratulations My Life - is is also very inspiring to read of someone doing so well :T:T:T

My balance for October is £5,556 / £10,206

Perhaps my goal was too big to start off with but I am still pleased with what I have accomplished and hoping to make it to £6k by the end of the year (hard with xmas etc) but without this goal, challenge or forum I would still be sitting with 3 credit cards just paying off the interest each month and still buying things on credit - so thank you to all of you for keeping me motivated to chip away at the debt.

Lam i wanted to say i am in a very similar position to you - set a target which was a huge stretch and now fairly doubtful that this will be achieved :o But i have also just increased the amount i owe due to needing a new boiler :( but everything extra i have paid off this year has definitely helped :) I am looking forward to setting next years target in which i'll be aiming to clear all outstanding balances and also to start overpaying on the mortgage :j

I have made some overpayments this month - just going to check if there is any more i can do and will get my update in for Monday ;)

Well done to everyone - you are all inspiring me to keep going and that we will all achieve our target of being debtfree :D

Thanks for the updates everyone, I've left my spreadsheet at work  so will have to see if I've got an old one here.

I was just totting up by calculator but then DH distracted me and I got lost, so I've given up for now. :rotfl:

I'm away for a while now, but will try and get the totals up as soon as I can.

    Hi Everyone,

Nr 2 is here...A bit of a dilemma, I cleared all my debts but after a long process Tesco admitted that they overcharged me so the amount I believe should be reduced? I overpayed the loan by £1111 meaning that my overall debt should look like this:

    2. kavics17 - £23981/£22,889:j:T

Jwil, it's up to you, you can update it or leave the other amount, this money has been received and put on my saving account.

If you are with TESCO, than please read this thread, they made errors with my account and that resulted me overpaying the loan:

    Good luck everyone!

November update as I've just been paid.

STILL need to eBay some things. Just so lazy :(

    172. Laze - £2967.70/£5817.70

Paid off £600 on Card 4 and £122 on Card 5. Would of been a bit more, but I realised around £900 will be coming out for Car Insurance :(

    Owed now:

    Card 1: £0
    Card 2: £0
    Card 3: £0
Card 4: £800 - to be paid off by End of January 2012
Card 5: £2050 - to be paid off by End of April 2012

Still on target! - Though it's still tight. 2x £400 to be paid on Card 4 to finish for Jan, then everything pointed to Card 5!!! My last Xmas with card debt hopefully! :)

Your not the only one - I could kick myself as I borrowed OH credit card to get my bus pass (thought it ran out later than it did) then somehow ended up with £250 on there - that's almost a quarter of my wage!

I had snapped mine in half to get it paid off. Now my budget after bills is £2.60 a day, so it's gonna be a rather creative month!
