    Hiya everyone

sarahs grr! to all those things in your home that need fixing - i have a very long list of essential repairs which includes - new guttering (leaks) , new boiler and radiators (don't work), new door and windows (leak) :o am trying to get the money together for these jobs but may just need to use my savings account that matures next year instead of throwing that money at the mortgage as i originally planned :( have the worry about the damage these things are doing whilst they aren't working properly

Sorry i haven't been around much lately everyone - a combination of things have caused this.

Anywho's a priority this week is getting back on track with my money - i haven't really gone off track to be fair, but is more a case of trying to work out how to make extra payments this month  Difficulty this month is that i have 2 weddings to attend - both involve overnight stays as too far to travel there and back in a day and both very close friends - i have paid deposits on the rooms and am now panicing about the fact that i'll need to pay the remaining balance, (they are my friends so me who pays) drinks and petrol will also need to be covered. I also have an important family birthday (gift needed).

In brighter and more positive news - new amount paid off is £3074.30/10,000

However, the extra training will improve work etc so a sound investment. also i work freelance so all the bank holidays meant no pay for me. but Paid of £47 to a loan and another £150 to another so feeling okay about it. Hiya, I know its really late but can you add me to this challenge. Need to get back on the DFW Wagon after falling off when my son was born in October. I want to pay off about £1,000 or more if I can. Hoping to get back to work in the next month so want to pay as much off as I can. I will update my total in the next day or so.
    Thanks,
    Mich

    No 13.

Usually wekly overpayment of £10 bringing my total to £1334.90/£6000

I have a little dilemma (wonder if you can give me your advice please).
I have managed to save £750. Now I have a Next debt of about £730 @ 29.9% and a large (huge) CC debt @ 34.9%.
Which should I pay it off?
Clear Next and free up £95 a month for op's or but a small dent in CC balance.

    All advice appreciated :)

sensibly speaking you should chuck it at the highest interest card, but I would be tempted to clear next and SHUT IT DOWN! That will feel good and like you've really acheived something. It's good to get a boost.

Can you move the 34.9 to a lower rate somewhere? That's a horrible rate of interest.

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
Just paid off £50 off my Barclaycard (0%) so that's £1771.83/£6842.49. There's only £550 left on that on now but we used it to ballot for olympic tickets, so I might have to pay it off sharpish if we are lucky enough to get tickets.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
