Back from our family visit. I am happy to report that we managed to bring back £3330-this is the difference between our investment property mortgage and rent-took us appr. a year to save it up. Originally wanted to put this money towards the mortgage but as our loan's interest is higher, we will put it towards Tesco's. Also regular loan payment out so today's overpayment is a total of £3648.43. I will make an overpayment later this week from my salary but first need to see how much is left in bank account after bills.
Running total is:
2. £14066.52/£19.200+
That's a great start to the month KavicsHope you had a good visit.

Thanks for all the updates everyone. Sorry for the delayed total posting.
Well, we smashed last month thanks to some hefty last minute updates, and our total for April is:
April - £69,316.73 :T:T:T:T
And a total paid so far of:
£276,365.32 :j:j:j:j
Well done everyone, lets see if we can break the £70k mark this month!
Though as the thread numbers nerd I should point out that we're far behind in our secondary aim to pay off a million.... we should be at £333k! I suspect people will fade off a bit towards the middle of the year when there are things like holidays to pay for. And then hopefully go for a big push when the end is in sight... Come on you debt slayers!0 -
And thanks jwil again for your tireless number totting... well done on your total too0

Got paid last week, was hoping for a bit more wages due to increase in personal tax allowance. Forgot that the last couple of months have been extra due to backdated payrise, so will actually be taking home less than I'd thought. might have to recombobulate spreadsheets and recalculate overpayments. Therefore might have to un-recombobulate cc-debt-free date taking it back up to 2015.

A thread numbers nerd is always welcome
We seem to have lost a few people along the way who have not updated for a couple of months now. I'm hoping that maybe they will pop back and let us know how they are getting on.
We've got 169 people on the list for the challenge, but only around 60 are updating each month. So if we are doing that well, there's a great deal of potential for us!
Let's keep at it people, it would be amazing to hit the million mark!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
GREAT total for April - my personal April was shocking so I'm glad the thread came through! Imagine where we'd be if all 169 were updating!
With all bills now out I have £180 left to last until pay day (3 weeks) but I did a huge grocery shop on Friday so the next one is OH's. So I'm hoping to chuck another £50 on the debt in a couple of weeks. I'm sure something will crop up though, like it always does!DEBT FREE 3rd Sept 2011

Afternoon
Today I paid £295 towards my DMP, and £55 of token payments to creditors so running total this month is 2340/13225 ....I've got a long way to go but i'm happy to say I personally have not added to this debt since January (LBM!) ...the late charges & defaults have added to it because of the DMP being set up but it should start to come down now...I'm sticking to the figure I originally gave (£13,225) to pay off though, will tackle the excess next year
Well done everyone, it's great knowing there are others in the same boat (although we all wish we weren't lol)
