    Well done on the overpayments everyone!

    Walnut - my target was very ambitious too, and I've no clue how I'm going to manage, but as sarah says you never know what will happen, and it wouldn't be a challenge if it was easy would it! Keep going, and even if you don't manage the £4k, you still will have overpaid a lot anyway so it's still a success!

    Thank you, it'll be worth it in the end when my money will be 'mine' and not 'earmarked to pay something off'.:)

    Final payment of £4.62 made yesterday :D Am going to shred the card in the BIG shredder at work 2moro.

    Just shredded the BOS card!!!! along with:

    Amazon MBNA card - blance 0 only use when I buy off Amazon and pay off straight away
    Virgin MBNA card which is 0% til November
    Dead M&S gift card
    Dead local 'Mall' gift cards
    Dead Hotel Chocolat members card (de-membered myself last year)

    Goodbye temptation!

    All I have left in my card wallet is my DVD rental card. Will shred Barclaycard and Santander cards tomorrow.

    I feel all light and fluffy :rotfl:

    Wow. That's a lot of shredding! I think I am going to keep my Virgin and one other when all this debt has gone, as sometimes they can be useful (as long as you pay off straight away!)

    Don't forget you need to actually cancel the cards too, otherwise your credit account will remain open. It took Lloyds TSB almost a year to close my account down despite repeated pleas from me.
