Payments will slow down for me a bit now as we are off to the states next month and need to save up spending money. It's a very MSE trip - our plane tickets have been paid for by my friend and my goodmother (a 40th birthday present), we are staying with them so no money needed for hotels, and it's only a week long trip. MInd you, having said that we saved really carefully for our two week trip to turkey last year and still ended up putting tonnes of stuff on credit cards. Bah. Am reckoning on £600 all in (car park at heathrow will be hideously expensive so that's a chucnk of it). What do you think? How do eating out prices compare in the US, I haven't been there for a few years. I'm assuming it's cheaper than here.

That sounds fab sarahs! When I was last in the states (probably getting on for 10 years ago now, eeek!) everything seemed to be that you would pay the same in dollars as you would in pounds here - so if there was a good exchange rate it would work out quite a bit cheaper. Obviously things may be very different now though.

    Hi All

Slightly embarrassed to admit I have lost track of my money a bit :o The details in my sig are correct but I have a couple of new DD's coming out this month and I need to track down dates and amounts and which accounts they are due to come out of  The DD which came out today i had been given no notice of despite being advised I would receive a bill first  Good thing was I had an inkling that somthing like this might happen so allowed for the money to be available ;) So need to check the other amounts, dates and accounts, plus I have had to pay for some stuff on my debit card which I would have paid for in cash as OH owes me some money and now I am not sure what is due to come out from that - think it is only 1 transaction for usual food shop but am not 100% :o Don't want to have forgotten something and go overdrawn beyond overdraft :o Anywho's made small overpayment £1796.96/10,000
