I am off to do the one you did as I have another REACT visit there today. Woohoo. Wish me luck. :-)
I swear if they are all nicey nice I will through a fit.
Never ever felt that unconfortable on an MS before, wanted to crawl under a rock lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

For me and many others, we will be out and about, maybe even driving - an email comes in (and I see it 'cos I have my phone in a holder on the dashboard) so I have to find somewhere to stop, so I can safely log on - in some areas with poor signal this can take ages - and then to see a duplicate alert is very, very frustrating and time consuming.
So THATS why we ask people to take a mere from their lives to CHECK they aren't posting a duplicate post.
.
I'd say the same back to you! I dont just sit there pressing refresh! To castigate people for trying to help and post alerts is ridiculous.
I won't have folk on here not posting jobs because you have a dig every time, there isn't just you on here. I'm pleased that the alert is posted and I check each site anyway as something eles may have come up / been released etc.
Evidently yours is a unique situation - I'd just wait till I got home and do the lot, fair enough. For us mortals who are just around then it's no issue - full network bars, not driving, sat at home or whatever then it's no problem to click an email, read then shut it back down.
Perhaps we could work out a deal whereby anyone posting an alert has to PM you first to see if you know about it?(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -

Surely it's just common sense to check back over the past 9 or 10 posts to make sure you're not duplicating an alert? It's what I always do, and it takes all of 20 seconds. After all, you're only providing people with help in the alerts thread if you're posting new information.
If we PM'd tractor girl who could take a moment from her busy lifestyle to reply and let us know if she's seen it or not then everyone's happy. She is the thread owner after all.
She'll be waiting till this gets to the trigger point and be just waiting with the new thread all set up ready to go.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -

People- ENOUGH!
I like this thread and am grateful to the people that post on the alerts too, but stop with the sniping!0 -
Does anyone else get 'Not Responding' when trying to complete an O/C scorecard ? If so what do you do about it?0

Stop being horrible to each other people or I'm gonna start cyberly (if that's even a word) crying!!0

Agreed.
I am sure everyone finds the alerts thread useful, I certainly do. However I know from experience it is very easy to miss something when skimming over the posts above before posting myself and things will from time to time be posted twice in error.
We are all here to make money and by posting on the alerts thread people are doing us all a favour by posting and occasionally a mistake can occur. Is it really worth berating people for making a mistake that could make someone money?
Not to mention the fact that some people may just stop alerting all together. I know if someone were to berate me in the manner that others have been the alert in question would be my last.0 -

I'll say nothing more on the matter but I find the alerts useful and certainly even to check again - there are other jobs. I'd rather have it twice than not at all.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0
