  • Don't forget if you're booking the overnight stay visits recently released that you can go through Quidco and get cashback. Every little helps!

    Bah! Forgot this :(
  • Hi everyone.

Can I please ask a quick question please?

I'm doing my first RE drink only assessment today. On the questionnaire, when you are asked to describe your overall experience, from entering to leaving, do they literally want a step-by-step account of what you did as a customer, or also of how you checked everything as a MS?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks xxx

I start off by stating the time I arrived and commenting on the exterior / interior cleanliness, the atmosphere of the pub, level of trade (i.e. quiet, busy, hectic).

I also comment if the tables were clear or if the table I happen to choose was dirty and if it was cleaned by the time I ordered the drinks.

I describe how the member of staff interacted with me at the bar and anything I might have noticed while ordeirng the drinks, briefly comment on the toilets if it was required then finish off with my summary of the whole experience i.e. whether I had a positive or negative experience and why.

Other people might do things differently but those are my pointers anyway. Good luck! I like doing pub assignments as I can pretty much do the notes and sometimes the report there but the reports are too long and very low paid.

I just write a factual account of what happened.
Here I go again on my own....

yep that's what i do too, although i dont do pubs on their own as not a lot of money for a load of faffy reporting. The meals aren't much more work for food and/or a bigger fee

  • 25 mins on the phone to tax office. Result: call another number

Asked if i will get fined and she said yes even though i pointed it out it's their fault. Said i can appeal (oh joy)

6 mins and counting to the new number
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
