Yep that's a full week's work for team Mel, too, then!:D

The same old "money for old rope" stuff in the press makes us look like a bunch of idiots. I agree with DA on this.

A good day for me could be a lot more than £100. But it doesn't happen every day (more's the pity). And it only happens because companies are paying me over the odds. In such cases, I put in more than the norm when reporting (I well and truly make sure that I deserve the enhanced pay rate). I'd like to see evidence that anyone, especially a newbie (or relative newbie) can clear that sort of money every day at standard pay rates! Maybe the £100/day includes reimbursements???;)

Mind you, video MSers could probably earn £100/day with not too much trouble. I'm not sure they could find enough video work to fill five days a week every week, though.

I've only been doing MSing again (I used to when I was at Uni) since the beginning of December and I've earned in total about £200 (including reimbursements) so I just can't understand it! Fair enough I haven't done that much (probs about 20 ish jobs - I can't be bothered to check lol) but still - I just can't see how you can do that unless you are literally top of the game and get only the high premium work.

Its almost like people have not thought that sometimes its too good to be true with stuff in the media.

Oh completely, but I don't think people seem to realise that. The media reports at the minute makes it seem like thats the norm and its easy to achieve. It almost takes away from the hard work that you go through to get it.

Be prepared to pay £500 upwards!!!!

As soon as I heard that I decided not to pursue it.

Yup Look at Dog Cam sport. and yes about 500 is about what you need to spend unless you get an Archos unit, the camera needs to be button or free fit body worn.

Some companies can provide kit and training. +1 for DCS, very helpful.

Jen is right tho, it's more travelling if you want to earn more and it's technically more demanding as you have to think on various levels, whilst remembering the brief, etc. There is literally no fudge factor as every word you say is on record.
  • I dont understand why I keep getting rejected by GAP for assignments. I am a newbie and completed one assignment to date.
  • Do they reject? impossible. What does it say when you try to book?
