and before you ask no.. your Risk/Reward is too high for me ;0(
And its amazing/disgusting the lengths they will go to to ensure that going over limit and missing payments is exactly what happens to you. No one can ever convince me that when banks do their budget forecasting for the year that they don't have some sort targets of charges/fees that they must meet and will do whatever they can to meet it. Earlier this year I had several incidents where my bank would block access to my account. I had money in the account, but no one could access it, so direct debits and standing orders all got missed, for the first time ever I missed a payment on my mortgage, and when I phoned up about it, my phone calls would always get disconected, and on about the 7th phone call someone would say "no theres no block" and voila, my account would work again.....This happened at least twice this year with no explanation from my bank whatsoever. I am being targeted here I know it, and I'll uncover just what it is....0 -
Totally off topic (sorry ciscokid) but how do you get quotes or part quotes in green when you reply to posts. I reply to quotes but I leave the whole quote in.0

write a letter to your bank and ask them about this, it seems like you have real problems with your account, as others have stated get a new bank account, stop spending, stop feeling sorry for yourself. Go and do something about this before you have no other options, how does your partner feel about this.
i am quite a*** when it comes to finance being an accountant, and its the only arguments me and the mrs have.. she wastes money on credit card interest payments (18%) whilst having savings earning 0.5%. oh and the lack of cleaning i do :0)0 -

FWIW..I have just spoke with all three of my credit card providers....mbna are useless/clueless, barclaycard didnt want to know, but HBOS have told me to come into the branch tomorrow to try and discuss my idea further... my plan is for them to extend my credit to 15k, hopefully at 16.9% APR, pay it off at 450 per month, and be debt free by October 2014 at the very most. its a win win for them, it ensures the debts are repaid, it also makes them another 7-8k in interest....0

*facepalm*I means they just slapped themself in the face in the opinion that you wont get thay deal.
to be honest, i hope you do get something sorted very soon, because although you have ignored all the help that you came on here to get and are just doing what got you here in the first place, taking on yetmore debt (if they let you) i still feel for you, im sure most of us do, you are someone in need who may not be thinking straight at the moment, so the sooner you get something that sorts you out and gets you back on track with your life and family the better.0 -
thanks for the support
lol, i know what facepalm means.....but i don't like what they are suggesting. i will be very upset if telling me to come into the branch tomorrow was hbos way of inciting some hope into me so they can kick me when im down face to face...i had to borrow money to bury my father a few years back and they could not show an ounce of compassion as to why they wouldnt give me the loan....but they made sure they got their home insurance sales pitch on me before i left (with tears bursting down my face).......0
