She does sound young for her age, and a bit of a spoilt brat and I don't think she should have made a scene.
My parents are divorced and me and my full brother have 1 half brother and 2 step siblings. When it comes to Christmas they have a £250 limit for each child, my step Dad doesn't see 2 of his kids so they get it in the bank for when they're grown up (or his ex wife starts letting him see them again), I usually get money and Alex gets toys etc, Rob gets what he asks for.
My Mum would never dream of saying Alex only has presents from us so he gets double what you get. I wouldn't be upset as i'm a bit old for the Christmas bug but she would never contemplate treating us differently
i think we will just have to agree to disagree on this one. if that's the case although i'm grown up and work etc should i be expecting £200 off of my mum at xmas because thats what i got as a child. but also ignoring what her mum spends on her means my kids will always have less than her at xmas and i don't see why they should. it wouldn't be fair on my kids at xmas to all get the same amounts spent on them and then see her flashing ipods etc off of the mum.0
