i've no idea but i know that what the tories are doing is upsetting not only the wrong people but the most important people in all of this - the next generation... they're cutting where it's worse, what abotu the defence budget??

more importantly - the education of the next generation is going to suffer. 100%

less importantly - how many of these students that will now have to pay for their education will vote tory or Lib dem?
Thank you for the explanation. Its difficult to decide or know, but we..as a country not as individuals..sadly..have to make somesort of majority decision and run with it I guess.

I'm not so sure that education has to suffer, Ninky has shown us bright students can still get a free place in E.U. In fact I think, more and more, education has ALREADY suffered over recent ...decades?....from our attitude to wards it...not just higher education.

More importantly, I think, like Ninky, I'd rather have fewer ''posh people'' getting cheap degrees, but also I'd like to see fewer people IN TOTAL reading for degrees...particularly those that see it as a three/four year !!!! up and excuse to get into unnecessary debt (not the debt that can't be minimised) and then whinge they can get graduate jobs. Personally, I feel fewer subjects should have state funding at all and I think industry should consider funding those graduates it wants and that don't directly benefit society, or that degrees should be self funded over a longer time combination with work.

if you prefer to believe everything you see on the news as what happens everywhere - you're more stupid than i thought.

Where as he said that he 'believes everything I see on the news'? You can see from the news footage that there is a significant, criminal element of these protests who are there to cause trouble. You can gather that by watching a couple of minutes plain footage with the sound down. That's not to say that all media coverage is a fair representation of the whole picture, but facts are facts.

In the two Scandinavian countries I've worked in it's common for students to work while getting their degrees even if they are in the minority to get sponsorship/state payment towards living costs. So yes they can spend a very long time studying for their degrees if they so choose.

Also companies will sponsor not just postgraduate degrees and research in science, engineering and technology subjects but also a lot more arts and social sciences than in the UK.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

A lot of it is the media's fault

    Yes.

And worse still we have too many stupid people only too eager to believe everything they read/hear.

What sort of Government uses Water cannon on protesters ??

    Not ours, thank god. !!!!

Theresa May rules out use of water cannon at student protests.

When I was at a water park I stood in front of a water cannon on purpose.

Don't know what all the fuss is about.

i thought it was the question. you asked what i would do not what labour would do. whilst i have supported labour in previous elections i'm too much of a free thinker to be a signed up member of any of the political parties. there are more solutions - and better ones - than any of the main parties have put on the table imo.

You still won't answer then, I think because you know the answer is it would be no different.

The government said they will support the police if needs be, are you honestly to blinded to see that.

Free thinker???? you are red all the way through, we do remember the election and you avid support of labour.

so the royals are innocent but someone who goes on a protest is guilty if the person next to them throws a brick? this is a very stupid thing to say.

Missed anyone saying that to be honest.

Interesting that there is still free higher eduction within EU...and there fore presumably available to all .with gumption and prepared to work to pay for fares and keep. TBH I think a lot of the Scandiavian countries might think our social skills and commitment to work and responsibility might be lacking.

they might think our tax system is lacking. the scandinavian way seems to be tax higher and provide top notch progressive public services. if it wasn't so cold there i'd be tempted to emigrate.
