    Hi all

Sorry, I've been MIA for a couple of days again. Sidney arrived on Friday, and he takes a lot of time to look after; he has a 45 minute walk at 09:00 and a 30 minute one at 13:00, and he also has to be encouraged to eat his food - he's on a special diet that looks and smells extremely bland, so I imagine it's like a human having to eat a permanent diet of plain Ryvita.

    Happy Birthday Jackieg.

Healing vibes to all the poorlies - gosh, so many with health probs at the mo.:(

Mr LW has just phoned to say he's on his way home; he'll give Sidney his insulin as soon as he gets in, so I'd better go and get his (Sidney's) dins prepared.

We're having Quorn fillets with white wine sauce and chips - which I suspect Sidney would prefer to his own food!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • Thank you all for the birthday wishes. :) I have had a nice day, the boys seem to be on the mend, I think Ds2 may have fought it off completely, he has a fantastic immune system. Ds1 seems a lot better this evening, so hopefully I can send them back to school tomorrow. The cupboard under the stairs is cleared out, the wreath is on the door, the tree is built but not decorated as I need the new lights, the wall hangings are up and it smells like Christmas thanks to the lovely Mulled wine candles MIL gave me as a gift. :) She also got me a Prima subscription through her Tesco points - she only buys online from Tesco Direct so she had enough for that, so I asked her to get me that rather than perfume, which she normally buys. I have plenty of that at the moment. Very MSE :D She also brought me down a lovely cream sponge, whiwh the boys and I had for dessert after our Dominos pizza. I had a bogof voucher for that too. So all-in-all, 37 has started off OK, hopefully it will stay the same, or get even better.

Have a lovely evening everyone and thanks again.xxxxx

    Evening all,

happy birthday jacqueline....glad to see its been a good day so far.

Still dealing with icy roads here...the way I go to collect DGS2 was very slippery today and it doesn't feel as if there is going to be an improvement to-morrow...sick to death of snow! Hope that we can avoid the stuff promised for some areas later in week.

All the cards are written, stamped and will go off to-morrow....wish I could say the same for shopping but am getting there, really must wrap some stuff soon.

Hugs to all who are ill or who have ill family...I didn't sleep last night as DD1 rang to tell me that the daughter of our friend who died in a house fire last month has been diagnosed with a massive malignant tumour....attached to so many organs that they are going to try to shrink it before they attempt surgery.....she is 41 and has five children 15-5 and her husband works in shipping, is away from home almost as much as he is there....I want to scream at the injustice of it, but then when had life got anything to do with justice....those of you who pray, would be glad of one for her...and her family.

Need to book a flight to use up a Ryanair voucher which expires on 27th....think that we will go to Sardinia in March for a week, weather could be a bit iffy but should be warm enough there.

    Hugs to all

Happy birthday JackieG, glad to hear you've had a good day.

Not been up to much here. Went to see Boyfriend and family over the weekend, which was lovely as always. They seemed to like the cookies I baked as part of a small Christmas gift for them (along with a couple of other bits), so am glad about that, and they gave me a couple of things too including a jar of HM jam which is yummy. Don't worry, they're getting the jar back when it's empty, I know the jam etiquette!

Boyfriend and I swapped gifts and opened them early, he liked what I'd got him and I like what he got me, so all good. Had a lovely relaxing weekend of not doing very much at all and quite a bit of snoozing. But now I won't see him for ages as I'm going to visit my family, though I'm excited about getting to see them.

I can't remember if I told you I'd written a letter to Santa... Anyway, a while back mum demanded to know what I wanted for Christmas, so I emailed them including a letter to Santa, with strict instructions to post it to him. Well gawd knows what they've been up to, but I came home yesterday evening to find I've only got a reply! FROM SANTA! :D
  • Sorry been MIA again, had a busy weekend. My parents came to visit as it was my birthday on Sunday, so they watched ds2 whilst I had a night out with my dh. Then sunday we went out for a roast dinner & today have been treated to a lovely day in London and got a knitted dress from my dh. So very little os has taken place.

Miolere - thinking of you, your bil and dsis.
Jackie0 - thinking of you too and your db.
Npm - the photos are lovely.
jackieg - happy birthday, glad you had a lovely day. I am however a few years older than you.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.
