Vodafone have charged me for phone just received.
Hi,
We have just bought a contract phone for our son for christmas and have put it in my husbands name.
We decided to collect instore and it was ready for collection on the 6th December but did not pick it up until the following day.
I have just been on my husbands account online and he now has 2 phones registered, which we assume 1 of them is my sons(don't know as yet as we haven't turned my son's phone on so don't even know what his number is)
But he has been charged £2.90 date 3-5 the December and the amount his under the minutes of the contract.
Does anyone know why this would appear on his account like this?
Thanks.

Possible 3 Dec was your connection date and your billing date is the 5th. So they might charge you 3-5 Dec then the additional month.0

Wait until the bills for internet use start to roll in.
Kids start sending emails & texts to youtube video's which soon eats into the 500mb limit most of the

Sounds like it, network providers charge you line rental a month in advance, when you first get your phone the chances are it's going to take a day or two for everything on their systems to fully setup so your first bill is usually for 31, 32 or 33 days rather than the standard 30 day billing month.brightgirl wrote: »Possible 3 Dec was your connection date and your billing date is the 5th. As you only picked up the phone on the 6th it might be worth giving vodafone a call and see if they'll credit you for the days you didn't have the phone.0
