Where's hot in early April?

Hello All!
My boyfriend and I are looking for a break in April.
Maximum of 7 days, leaving on the 9th April onwards.
We really want to go somewhere reasonable [£500 each max] and preferably warm.
Where can you recommend? We wouldn't rule out a city break rather than a typical beach holiday.
We're just really struggling on where to go!!

9th April is the start of the school holidays for some, can you go a week earlier, it would be cheaper?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

We were on the Costa del Sol last April and spent a lot of time sunbathing on the beach 31 degrees C - cooler at night though.0

Canaries mainly. You wouldn't be guaranteed sun on mainland Spain.0

How about Egypt?0

I would be tempted to go to Barcelona. Good beach, you should get nice warm weather but there's so much to see and do there if the weather's not perfect.
It's also really easy to get to as you can get flights from all over the UK, normally for less than £100 each. You can then get a decent hotel for about £35-£40 per night each so well under budget.0 -
April would be fine for a city break in Barcelona, but for a beach holiday Costa Brava is really June-September.0

I would consider Dubai, it will be just out of peak season there but still a comfortable temperature.
If you can deal with unpredictable temperature, I would also consider inland Central/Eastern Europe (S.Poland, Czech, Slovak, Hungary). You can get lucky and see it hit 25-30 in April, or it can stay at -10, there's no way of telling. At least it should be dry. These destinations are extremely cheap in Spring and budget airlines fly there.
If you want Europe and you want assured warm weather, Rome, Barcelona, Sevilla, Lisbon, Athens are the obvious city choices but it's likely to be rainier than in the UK.0 -
I'd suggest Sultanate of Oman.
More to do than Dubai.
Much much better scenery.
Great beaches.
Great shopping. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
I would recommend Dubai as well if you can afford but Canaries would always be my choice.Should be nice and hot.0
