I was wondering has anyone else ever had this offer ?
Is there a catch ? am I missing something here ?
I have a Natwest current account, I dont really use it anymore, as I switched my main bank account elsewhere.
However I just received a letter from Natwest , offering me £125 cash , if ,
A; I place in the account my main income of at least £1000pm for x2 consecutive months , by 31st March 2011
and
B; Make at least 3 purchases using my Natwest Visa Debit card in the same 2 consecutive months,
All by 31st March 2011, I then get paid the £125 by May 31st 2011
So if i do this then after i got the £125 cash credit , i stop using it again !!

Also, NatWest credit cards are offering cardholders £40 cashback if they spend an average £800 each month Dec, Jan and Feb. and get the cashback in March. No chance with me, as I only earn £550 a month, and with an £1000 limit, its not do-able.0

I have just received a similar letter from Natwest. I don't use the account as my main one and the offer I received is
a) Move my main income, of at least £1000 per month for two consecutive months, to my Natwest account by the end of March 2011.
b) Use my Natwest debit card at least five times for the same two consecutive months
In return I will receive a £100 gift voucher from a choice of various major stores.
I may move my salary over for a couple of months and see what happens.0 -

woow !!!
so far im feeling privileged being offered £125 cash credit !!!0 -
I got the same letter, same conditions and same £125 cash.
I was hoping to find some clarity on here, In theory I should be able to simply transfer £1001 into my account, make 3 purchases (eg 2 packets of chewing gum on separate occasions and my weekly food shop) then transfer the remaining balance back into my main bank account. Do this again the following month and I should receive my free £125 cash some time before 31 May 2011...
In fact, £120 cash is a good incentive to start using it as my main account full stop. Or at least until I actually receive the money.
Any opinions?

Woow , registered for over and year and this is your first post ,
Im not going to bother doing it , as it stated it must be your main income salary of at £1000 thats going in monthly via DD , nothing else ,
I gotall DD,s on my other account with another bank , and they will simply not be covered , unless i completly transfer all my banking, which im not going to do,
If you want to do that , then the £125 cash is yours i guess ,
Me i ximply cant be bothered of the hassle of DD,s not being covered and going into the red and getting bank charges, and then making call after call to get the charges (hopefully) removed !!
GOOD LUCK !!0 -
Yeah, registered for the newsletter and as silly as it sounds have only just discovered the forum.
I'm just thinking that I could literally receive the money in my HSBC account, instant transfer £1001 into the Natwest account then transfer £1000 of it back into the HSBC account where all my DD's are (do these transfers pretty much instantly so my HSBC account will only be without funds for 5 minutes at the most). With the £1 left in the Natwest account I can buy 3 separate purchases on the visa debit card and after doing this twice I should be eligible for the free £125 cash.
