    Well you thinks wrong.

So why would you think it was a While you were out card, if you were home when it was put through? Surely if you had been home you first reaction would have been 'Why did they not knock?', not 'I'm not expecting a large item'? :rotfl:

As custardy has said, you don't seem to understand what the card means. It was not delivered because it was too big to fit through your letterbox and you were not home to open the door.
    Gone ... or have I?

To be fair, stories of these cards being put through the door when someone IS in (no knock) or handed to a customer are not exactly unheard of. It's certainly happened to me.

and theres plenty of cases where its like the OP
they dont understand why they have been carded

how about the guy who complained that he hadnt had an RM delivery in over 10 days (Edinburgh)
he said he had got letters from TNT,citipost and M but none from RM
no amount of explaining that these came via RM would appease him

    Meh

If people are claiming royal mail and such are so bad why don't you just deliever your own letters to wherever they need to be. Or collect your own letters/parcles - no need for RM/couriers then eh

Why moan. It's better than doing the above isn't it?

Postmen/woman are only doing what they are paid to do. Yet 3/4 of joe public want their crap delivered on a gold plated pillow.

Plenty more things to worry about than a poxy delivery

I've got upmost respect for them. I don't know anyone who's a postie nor have i ever even contemplated doing it. But they do a job that saves me the hassle

I really hate this sort of post. Of course people aren't going
to deliver their own mail, it's clearly not possible for someone in London to deliver to someone in Newcastle for example. Just because someone chooses to use a service it doesn't mean they have no right to complain, that's what customer services are there for after all. Are people just
meant to accept a substandard unacceptable service?

I'm sure people would love to choose another delivery company but for
letters and similar small items royal mail holds a bit of a monopoly so the choice is limited.

I actually quite like royal mail and the deliveries in my area are great but I'd be a bit miffed if I had to put up with postmen clearly not
completing their job. What part of attempting to deliver a parcel without even having the parcel on them is acceptable?
