Is this allowed?

I am having a clearout and have found about 20 old Prima Magazines. Inside each is a sewing pattern. Now, as much as I would like to I know I'm NEVER going to use them.

Can I put them on ebay? I've looked on the *not allowed list* and they don't seem to be covered  .

It seems a shame to throw them...

Can't see why it would be a problem... as long as you don't intend to photocopy them and sell the copies!
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

    Looks ok to me too.

Just be honest in my auction and don't charge a bucket full for them. I'd start at £0.49p maybe?

I'm sure eBay will remove the item(s) if there is a problem.

Yes, there is no reason why you cannot.

Because they were *free* items given away with the magazines. I've bidded/won five auctions in the last two months that have been removed by ebay. I guess I'm just a bit cautious!

I'm not expecting a lot (if anything) from them.

    Thanks for your help!

    No not at all!!

I just want them to end up in a good home. Now, if I can also make a few pennies in the process - all the better :D
  • Unless they're actually labelled "not for resale" or "not to be sold separately" or whatever, there's no reason why there should be any problem. Even if they are so labelled, items which were originally magazine freebies and not meant for separate sale are bought and sold all the time and no-one usually minds. If you're at all concerned about any "not to be sold separately" bits printed on them, you can easily get round that by selling them complete with the original magazine if you still have it. With the new postal pricing system, they should still fit "large letter" dimensions so if the whole package is no more than 353mm x 250mm x 25mm and 500g weight, it will only cost 90p 1st class per magazine + pattern to post. Of course, if you're selling the patterns in lots rather than individually then it would be very much cheaper to post them without the magazines!
  • I've seen old knitting pattern "pull-outs" from Womans Weekly etc listed.

There's nowt so strange as ebay, you might be surprised at how much you get for them.
