Get a whistle, when they ring blow it down the phone, they won't ring again
Did this once with one of the persistent ones and they just asked what it was, didn't seem phased at all.

Slightly off topic, but one of the regular callers, is someone saying my computer has a virus. It's actually a well known scam. I've done lots with them,as they are really fair game.

Generally, I have a total breakdown when they tell me.I start to go all hysterical and ask for help. They then try and calm me down but it all gets too much and I collapse into tears. It's amazing how long they hold on.

Then there's the ones asking if anyone has had an accident who lives here. I pretend to mishear them and ask if I can help them, where are they and shall I call an ambulance.I know it's silly but I can't help it. Should I seek help? ;)

    Yes Debitas. Class:rotfl:

I know we have slightly hijacked Jennyjelly's thread, but it also puts into context that most of the posters have been through the process. The fact that they can make light of it,shows there's nothing to worry about.

I like to see it as a challenge. They are trying to extort money from me. I am telling them to 'do one', or 'bring it on.'

If you believe in your principles, you really have nothing to fear.:)

Don't be daft, they are among the most predictable and tame PPCs you could ever ignore!

I got my ECP letters 2 years ago, that's it, exactly as per the link above with Control Account pretending that they 'need to collect a debt'. Then them asking again. Then sodding off to rattle someone else's cage. :p

I park in that car park all the time and would LOVE to collect more of their rubbish.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
