Well done! Post again if you need reassurance. We have all faced down the silly empty threats of Private Parking Contractors. Soon you will be missing the pathetic threatograms. Please spread the word that PPC 'fines' are legally unenforeceable and can be safely ignored.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Warning: if you don't pay up nothing will happen!!!!!!!!!!
Repeat: nothing at all will happen.
This can't be right???
It's a disgrace.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Slightly off topic, but one of the regular callers, is someone saying my computer has a virus. It's actually a well known scam. I've done lots with them,as they are really fair game.
I love these. I go along with them even switching on the laptop and doing what they say and asking when the problem was and when the information was sent to them. I then tell them I'm using a Mac and does it make a difference, next is a click. Oh well fun's over.0 -

I do the same let them woffle giving me instructions, they ask me to press the windows key+r let them ask me a few times if the run box has opened. Then I ask them "does this work on linux" click phone goes down.
Not PPC related but still trying to obtain money by deception!:cool:0 -
I want one of those PC virus scam callers now, I feel left out. Lol.
Having said that, I think the absolute best way to deal with these types of call is to run a PBX like Asterisk on a PC with an FXO and FXS capable PCI card setup to give "special treatment" to withheld, unknown, international, or any numbers you specify. You could put them into a menu hell, or just plain and simple give them a "f off" pre-recorded message and hang up.
The cheaper and more consumer friendly, but less flexible option is a truecall.0
