Quick update, I aimed to pay off 12,000 this year but managed 22,000. Our mortgage is now sub-150k :-)

That's brilliant Indigo899, a fantastic amount to have paid. :T I've looked on the chart fo you (twice) and can't see you. Do you remember your number by any chance?
hi 107 here last update for 2011.

    I didn't quite make my £10,000 i paid £9668 so £332 short :(

i have my tail between my legs and will now slink off to the 2012 thread

Wow miss_corerupted, congratulations. :T There's no way anyone who has paid that much off their mortgage in one year should slink off with their tail between their legs. :naughty: Hold your head high and have a little !!! Look forward to seeing you on the 2012 thread. :D

BTW, I've put in a payment of £3929 for you for December so that the chart reflects your payments. Hope that is ok with you.

    All the best,

Hi not been around much and havent managed to post every month but I can report that our mortgage now stands at £7,500:j we managed to get to our tartget and pay off even more. Hoping to pay it off in 2012, technically we could now, with savings, but we need our safety net.

Well done everyone for all your efforts this year. See you in 2012.

Wells done Pollys, that's brilliant! :T

I wanted to update you on the chart but as there is no target figure shown in the original sheet I'm a bit stumped. If you know what the original target was then I'll update so you'll show as being well over the 100% mark!

    Take care,

  • POllyS - working backwards - your target was to get the mortgage to 9999, from your figures, you started the year at approx 13,356 (1 Dec 2010 figure) which means you actually have paid off at least: £3357 and actually a lot more - but I'm unsure what it's down to.
I've put in the figure that you've saved a total of 3357, if you're happy with that figure let me know, otherwise that can stand as another person who has met their saving targets - well done you!

Updated: If it's now at 7500, it means you've been able to save £5856 from the 1/12/10 figure -very well done!
