That's rubbish Dazi, I saw cupcake jammies the other day but can't remember where - it wasn't Peacocks though as I wasn't in there! I'll lt you know if I remember.x

Thanks - I would rather put something in the hampers, New look had some but only for the kiddy range grrrrr. Am also thinking of maybe just getting a plain pair and doing a transfer onto them, I still have some transfer paper left over from when we went to my DSIS fancy dress party. Can you tell I get a bit hooked on the themes I do :D

    Afternoon all

Get well wishes to all poorlies - hope it doesn't last too long. I am just having 5 minutes with a coffee so thought I would catch up with the thread. Been shopping this morning at Morrisons (got my last 5 week receipt:D) then went across to check and start emptying the caravan as we will not be going away in it again till spring now. We will finish off emptying it probably during Christmas week when we have plenty of time off work. Need to get some boxes together.

It is my works Christmas Dinner Dance tonight, luckily I dont have to set off until 7.15 so will be able to watch Strictly first (how sad am I?) and will Sky+ X Factor. Have got a piece of gammon for lunch tomorrow which I can sling in the sc just in case I am feeling a little delicate(!?!)

OK need to start to tidy up again and get organised so that I have plenty of time to beautify myself (really think to make any difference I should have started last week:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

    Have a good evenng all

  • Good afternoon everyone .
Well I managed to get through to the hospital in France where my brother has had his op and even got through to his room so I spoke to him and he had only recently come back from theatre but although tired he said he felt o.k.They will keep him in for the next few days but he will be at home in time for Christmas which is good.he had two stents put in and a balloon thingy which opened up his arteries. So its all looking good for him.

Eldest DD has just been with DGD Holly and brought some cream cakes which was even nicer.I am hoping that we don't get anymore snow, as this time next week DD and tribe and I will be in Liverpool for the week-end.I picked up the footie tickets this morning from Thos Cook's and the hotel voucher. We have got the train tickets already so its just a case of waiting and hoping the white stuff stays away.
All is going to plan so far and I only have three more presents to buy.Cards are all done and stamped so I am well in front of myself.
Right I am off to do some ironing as next week will be a busy one with nativity play on Wednesday and my craft Christmas luncheon to go to on Tuesday and my DGS birthday on Thursday.Roll on January when I can take a deep breath and slow down a bit.
    have a good evening everyone
    JackieO xx

Have rung Peacocks, they are very sorry, will refund postage if I return and re order, told lad thanks but don't re order, cos they might send the wrong ones again and I need the stuff for next weekend (is for when we do the early xmas for OHs family) told me to return and send email to say why I want postage refund  have decided to go for the new look vouchers instead, will prob keep the wrong order as it was a good bargain even though it wasn't what I actually wanted! will do for birthday pressies during the year.

Still having a very chilling day, OH is finally home after doing car stuff, DSD has now had shower and is feeling a bit more human....chinese tonight while watching X factor.

Hope poorlies are perking up a bit or snuggling down in bed

    cyas soon xxx

Just seen your post JackieO, hope the weather is good for you next weekend in Liverpool, I like Liverpool, although it is really only a day trip for us, we went for weekend earlier this year...I love Albert Dock. Glad to hear your brother is doing well.

Afternoon all :D I was buzzing around work, too busy to get tired and skipped my lunch break. I've been given some really stupid shifts over christmas that I can't do, but it's mostly been worked out :)
So many tempting kitchen appliances in Lidl atm... coffee machine, grill/hot plate, panini grill!!! I've been hankering for a sandwich toaster, but a panini grill is a classy equivalent I could use for other grill/toasty purposes hmmm

I made friends with a lovely man at a nearby table ;) had a little snog on the dancefloor :D, and we swapped numbers but I doubt I'll ever see him again as he lives over an hour away from me, still I had fun :rotfl:.

<sighs wistfully> ahhhhh I remember those days of being footlose and fancy free.....glad you had a good time.

Had a small nap but not for very long so no late night for us. Bit fed up really as I was looking forward to a night out with H (good food and a film - even with my cold) but DD's temp hasn't gone much below 38 degrees today and she's really clingy so not much point trying to get my parents to babysit.

Just sitting down to write some Xmas cards, sort out my Xmas craft stuff for my table top sale tomorrow.
Think we're having fish fingers and chips with the kids for tea. How exciting. Can you tell I am in a bit of a grump :o

Hugs for all the poorlies - there seem to be a lot of us at the moment.
Enjoy your Saturday nights whatever you do.

Halight- you could try posting on the Christmas Board for ideas for your wife.

Snow has melted a lot again overnight here, I'm going to try and take my car out tomorrow so I can take my friend to Primark in Dunfermline. I should be fine once I get to the main road, might be a little problematic getting to it though since I live at the bottom of a slope :undecided but hopefully the ice will melt a bit more by tomorrow. I've not got much to get for Christmas now so hopefully I'll get it all finished tomorrow. Done all my cards and most of my wrapping, so it's mostly a case of delivering things to people now.

I've been a busy bee today :D well by my standards anyway! Did a load of washing which is now drying on the airer in the kitchen, we do have a tumble dryer but I've never used one in all my life so far and don't intend to start anytime soon! Made a tray and a half of mince pies and a giant rice pudding which is still simmering away. Gave the kitchen and bathroom a quick wipe down as well. Trying to get the house in a reasonable state before I head to my mum's for Christmas. Might make a curry sauce ready for tomorrow night as I don't know how long I will be at the shops for.
