Morning all
Wanted a lay in but HSBC thought it would be a good idea to call me at 8am:mad:. Yesterday we finished all the paperwork for CCCS and sent it all off signed for so hopefully the calls should stop soon
DD and DS are out today and DH is at work so i think i will stay in and do some ironing and maybe go shopping later
Not much else to tell so have a good day and hope you are all enjoying the warm weather:p0 -
Morning all,
Hope all you poorly ones get better soon, and keep the germs to yourself.
I have the first of four washes on, goodness knows how im going to dry it all, think I might risk it on the line for a while, as its not raining.
Slept till 8.30 this morning, which I really needed, its been so manic at work, have not stopped. DD is still in bed, will leave her for a while, she is busy at schol too with all the prep for her gcse's, OH is at the boot sale, so all quiet here.
Today I think dd is staying home, so I might take her over to a local huge garden centre type place, where they sell everything very cheap, I need to look at tiles for the loo window cill, and I want a few glass xmas decs, we are having two trees this year, our normal artificial one in the lounge, and a real one in the conservatory :j, I am so excited, have not had a real one for years, one is decorated completly in Xmas fairys, and the other is glass ornaments, so need some more glass.
Dinner tonight will be tacos, OH made a chilli last week which was so hot it nearly blew my head off , so we have the rest of that tonight, will cool it down a bit with sour cream, dd will just need to cook her veggie mince.
Sunnyday I always find myself doing things like that, yesterday I prepared a chicken curry for us, and lovingly prepared a veggie one for dd, chopping loads of veg, and adding quorn chicken, I put ours in the oven to cook, picked dd's up, turned round and put dd's curry (in ovenproof dish) in my food cupboard, went to check on them 1/2 hr later and could not find dd's :rotfl:
Halight, what about getting your Mrs a nice piece of jewellery ? a bracelet or necklace would be nice or some perfume ?? they always go down well with me.
Ok better get on, have fabby days all xx0 -
Morning all,
DS1 has manflu and DS2 sounds like it may be here tomorrow.I too have a head full of snot and OH is desperately trying to fit in :rotfl: Like you said Bitsy, at least it should be out of the way for Christmas, but it means we can't go near MIL until we're all clear.
Lou your news is fantastic, my mobile is still misbehaving but I got the message.
Don't know what the plan is today, soup and Haggis pasties being made, and bedclothes washed, apart from that I dunno.
Have a good day all, hugs spoons and hi5's all round

Morning all
((((hugs)))) to all the poorlies
NPM - hope you are enjoying married life!
Well I enjoyed my Xmas do yesterdayEven the staff day wasn't too boring! After the staff day the girls got changed in the hotel spa, the boys headed to the nearest pub. We joined them and had few drinks before heading back to the hotel for dinner. There were 500 people there for Xmas dinner! Only 50 were my work colleagues. To be honest the dinner wasn't anything special, but we only paid £5 each towards it so not complaining! I made friends with a lovely man at a nearby table
had a little snog on the dancefloor
, and we swapped numbers but I doubt I'll ever see him again as he lives over an hour away from me, still I had fun :rotfl:. I'm surprisingly not that hungover. Just had some fried eggs on toast to soak up the leftover alcohol!
No real plans for today. I'd expected to be very hungover today so had made no plans. I think I'll tidy round, make some shopping lists for xmas presents and xmas food, make my Christmas card list, and do some general sorting things out. Tonight I shall be parked infront of Strictly and X Factor with some HM pizza and wedges.
Not much OS - WM needs to go on, and need to empty DW.
I'm off back to bed with a cuppa
Have a great day all

Have had a great morning - just had to report MEGA OS happening here (for a change).
Huge pot of carrot and coriander soup made - enough for 8 portions
Beef casserole in the SC bubbling away
Chicken korma made with YS'd chicken thighs - enough for 4 portions
Mince bubbling away too - half for chilli and half for bolognaise sauce - enough for 6 portions
Butternut squash roasting in oven for next pot of soup
Very soon the freezer will be restocked and ready for the next avalanche of weather. Happy Gers. :j:j0 -
Hi all:j:j
I just thourt id give you all a bit of info on the onion juice drink.
Onions contain somthing that help your body fight off illness. A bit like Garlic they are both members of the same plant family.
Drinking the juice of onions is a very old idea its been used for hundrads of years. I think it may go back to roman times but im not too sure.
The sugar draws the onion juice out of the onion and it allso sweetens the juice so it makes it move drinkable.
Its dose not taste bad at all Its jsut thats it takes time to make.
But it really dose give your body a boot.
Give it a go im sure that you will all find it helpfull:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Wow,lots of germs and snot on here today
I hope you all get better soon, and take it easy in the meantime. When I had it a couple of weeks ago,I swore by manuka honey and lemon hot drinks (added whisky sometimes too:D)I made elderberry syrup last year, and that was good, but just didnt get chance to pick any this year- the farmer has chopped the tree I got them from last year
.
DH had to go in work early this morning-as its near town I got up and went with him, went on the market, got some boxers for DSons from TJhuge and the 2dine for £10 from MnS-an Oakham chicken,so that will s-t-r-e-t-c-h.
Right, going in the loft for the decorations-may be gone some time.
Hugs to the poorlies xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Hiya everyone
a big awwwww and hugs for all the poorlies, it seems so much worse at this time of year as we all need to get on and do things, best thing is to realise that you are ill, it can all wait!
Am still sore after my two falls, lovely bruise on my hip that is all the colours of the rainbow so am taking it easy today. OH is off doing car things and am sitting down with DSD who has a hangover watching the corrie omnibus....as if I didn't watch enough of it during the week :rotfl:
Have slow cooker on with bacon and lentil soup, will be my lunches for next week. Not sure what we are having for tea tonight, either a risotto or takeaway
Am a bit annoyed with Peacocks, I ordered 2 pairs of pjs to go into mini hampers I was doing on a cupcake theme, I ordered them because they had cupcakes on them, got sent different ones just novelty pjs, they are going back, think I will just now put new look vouchers in the hampers. Was a bit stressed about it, but then thought what the 'eck, am not impressed that I have to pay return postage so will be sending a strongly worded email as nowhere did it say it was a lucky dip as to which design you received.
Rant over :rotfl:
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day xxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

That's rubbish Dazi, I saw cupcake jammies the other day but can't remember where - it wasn't Peacocks though as I wasn't in there!
