    ITS A SCAM!

They won't insure you for a hire car if you have an accident because it doesn't have one of their stupid boxes on. USELESS! The guy who crashed into me even took full responsibilty for it. I'm changing insurers once my car's repaired.

    Renewal time again.

Insurethebox wants £480, which is about the same as last year.

Churchill wants £374 (bare bones) for 8,000 miles! I'm actually doing it through Quidco, so the cashback is helping to pay for some extras. I end up paying ~£410 altogether for 8,000 miles. Could have got 10,000 miles for a few pounds more, but I don't need it.

So, breathe a sigh of relief, because I don't have to watch my miles so much any more.

An accident back in 2009 ended in write-off, which must have been the main cause of my premium shooting up, so hopefully it's back to normal now.

I wonder if they will ring me up to get their box back?

Stay well away from insurethebox. They charged me £380 2 weeks before the end of my contract last year for a supposed change in my address which was never the case. Customer service refused to believe anything I said and hung up the phone on me. I wouldn't go near them.
