Anything you get over and above this from your employer is a bonus for you regardless of when bank holidays fall.
(the employer is also entitled to round the figure down if they so wish so 11.2 days becomes 11 not 12)
Not true. The employer always rounds up, or gives the exact time, never down."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -

SORRY I STAND CORRECTED, They cannot be rounded down and do not need to be rounded up to the nearest full day, however your employer can choose to do so if they wish.:opaddedjohn wrote: »You are only entitled to 5.6 weeks paid leave per year, you only work 2 days a week so this equates to 11.2 days.

None whatsoever. You work Thurs / Fri - therefore Mondays have nothing to do with your entitlement.hi there the Mon/Tues after christmas and Mon after new year are all bank holidays as you will know. I work only 2 days a week - Thurs and Fri. What allowance would you think I would be eligible for in terms of any extra days off in lieu? I am given an extra 2 days' leave each year to compensate for the 4 bH mondays that I miss out on (in theory). thanks for any advice.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
It would be much easier if employees just accepted that these days bank holidays come with no extra reward and are a standard working day and as such should be treated as that for work and holiday purposes.0

Now that is just incorrect,
Some Mondays(BH) are given as holiday days to full time employees so being part time the OP is entitled to a pro rata number of days(which they get) to allow for those days that hte full time employees get.0 -
