You chose the start price and you chose not to check correct postal price. Hardly the buyers fault.Barclaycard 3800

Have you misread the OP?
She isnt the buyer - she just made a bid - the item isnt sold and it isnt the incorrect price, its the price I am selling for, the buyer can take it or leave it (well actually she can leave it, as she is now blocked)0 -
LIBAD - it's your responsibility to set postal prices properly and not just guess things.
If you can't do that then don't sell.
As you say, you look at the cheapest option yourself. So why overcharge then?"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

If I had received that message, but it was nice, I would've considered sorting out the postage for her. There's no need to be so nasty.
As for people moaning about her over-charging, get over it. You won't be buying from her so leave her to it.A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.

Gosh another thread where someone posts for advice and doesn't like the responses
sorry OP, but think she was right to ask/ think it was expensive. But as FAy says, at least she said something rather than just leaving a - or bad star rating.0 -

Got an email this morning with the following:
Hi
I was just wondering why is the postage so expensive. Is this so you do not have to pay ebay so much or are you going to refund what you save on postage.
Er, no I wont be refunding the postage! would they pay extra if it cost more?
Why do people just not bid if they do not like the price? this person has actually made a bid on the item ! hopefully she will not win it!
Totally agree with you and I very rarely use ebay to sell anything. I buy loads of stuff and if I think the p&p is too dear I don't bid.
Why are people assuming that they should only pay the cost of the stamps? What a cheek.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -

Gosh another thread where someone gets passive agressive
Sorry PF, but I thought the title 'rant' might have given it away - not sure where I asked for advice?:)0 -
I'm with you LBAD. I got asked that question recently too and found it a bit cheeky (maybe this is becoming a new trend among buyers?).
I've been an eBay member for about eight years, so prior to the decision to charge people to list whether they sold or not. EBay make huge profits and are not a charity we should donate to. When I bid I look at the postage cost and take that into account, as any sensible person would. That's the seller's price and it's up to me whether I bid or not. I don't try to haggle them down, and if I think they're exaggerating the cost of the postage to save a little in eBay fees, good luck to them. (Not that you were doing this anyway.)
By the way, I have 100% positive feedback, even though I charge more than the stamps for postage.0
