Opened one of these accounts last night. Transferred £1 in this morning, which shows us an uncleared transaction. However, when I view the account it says that it's currently read-only, and that I can view it but can't perform any transactions. Should I wait before transferring in £10K?Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.0

Takes 24 hrs for account to function - so it may be ok tomorrow0 -
Opened an account today and can log-in to view it and it`s showing as pending.
Soon as I can I will try a FP from the Halifax but whether they`ll allow £10k is debatable.

Opened mine yesterday morning was able to FP the opening balance in at 11.00pm last night from LTSB. Tried to transfer more this morning but got stopped by LTSB security 'cos last nights transfer £1 (test) + £9999 - flagged up a potential security issue. Apparently fraudsters generally do a £1 test followed by larger amounts.0

The £1 tests are to make sure you set you transfer up correctly? If so there's no reason once the pound arrives not to wade in - is there? I'm in 100 + a lot in 2 days so I chuffin hope not...
I tried to transfer the remnants of an original esaver account for the first bit in - but online wouldn't let that happen. Their help desk said strange 'cos it allowed it the day before. Unperturbed I transfered 9.9 to the old ac = 10k, then closed it transfering the funds, ac number & history over to Issue4. Then transfered the rest of the deposit to the new.
Everything worked smoothly.0 -
Opened mine about 48 hours ago and just checked it online and it says "Access Denied" (to that account - my one and only!)
If I persist and click on "View" it yields:
! Access denied

Unfortunately access to your account has been denied.
It's not ok so has anyone any idea what that's about? Or have I just hit a middle of the night IT update or something?
I received two emails - one to confirm online facilities and the other to confirm the application and that the account would be working on the next working day. Were we supposed to get a further email or something to tell us when the account is good to go?0 -
I have just sent a £1 test FP to my new account, should be there within two hours.
Will check account later and update.
If all is correct I will send the bulk tomorrow hopefully by FP.0 -
My £1 test deposit finally cleared yesterday evening, but when I "view" the account it still warns me that it is "currently read-only", transactions not possible. I'm loathed to FP my £10K while it's in this state. Have a message into them, but can take 48hrs for a response.Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. I opened with a test £1, and today transferred the rest in multiples of £15k which Halifax allow to external accounts, just set up multiple transfers to the same account for more than £15K. All the 15K FPs entered this afternoon will go in tomorrow0
