Not saved but more paid off over £2500 of debt and made £3200 quid. Which isn't bad - this year I want to put more of a dent into my debt and work hard to make more profit.
I didn't do as much in terms of sales or selling towards the end of the year as I have been quite focused on designing items for sale for 2011, and working at developing my blog. It was important for my work because of marketing and branding. Also I realised I needed to make a solid foundation for the future.
Something important that we all learned from this thread is what we really wanted to do in life, and we looked at making long term lifestyle goals rather than just trying to make a quick buck. Also loads of people used hobbies and turned them into money making ideas, like cake making, jewellery design etc. One thing that is key is find something that you are really passionate about already and staying focused on that.
Also make sure you do your homework on what you are interested in and see if it is profitable before spending your money. I made a few wrong turns - and most importantly remember to enjoy what you are doing the thread has been supportive and fun, and it had been great to share triumphs and tears. And I have left 2010 with an amazing bunch of new friends - and that has been better than making the £10,000:j
