well my £50 this week will come from not spending anything lol we have gone over budget on kitchen/boiler so no money think it will be a week to eat down freezer and get creative with tins lol whilst only cooking in micro and george foreman .will bootsale saturday to give us some cash for next week.
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x
  • I've just added two months energy savings @£80 with E-on, they have just advised me that my energy monthly direct debit is now going down to £51 per month so more savings of £9 per month. Should just about cover the 18% increase they are bringing in from Sep !
I have also added in £10 lottery win and £20 made on Ebay.
  • There is a new entry live on my money saving blog so it would be much appreciated if anyone could find the time to hit my home page or make a comment, every little helps only 3 weeks left now until the end. I have mentioned this thread as a source of inspiration

Good lol, I'm glad people are enjoying it. I will miss doing it when it finishes :)
  • Hi guys,

i know I'm massively late in coming on board, but can I join in pleeeeease? I'm going to aim for £2,000 to make it realistic.

So today I've listed 24 books on Amazon which, if they sell, will be my first £209.70 once all the fees are paid :)

I'm also going to spend tonight going through my old DVDs/Xbox games/Wii games and get listing on Play.com or ebay - any suggestions which is the best place for these?

I've also joined Vivatic and done 3 surveys so my balance with them stands at £3.85, but I'm only adding things to my total as and when I actually receive the cash. Has anyone got any inkling when their next writing test is going to come up?

All the posts on this forum are really inspiring and so I just wanted to say thanks for the mutual support in advance and hope I can inspire others to give this great challenge a shot!

  • There are a number of us on here who have found the thread part way through the year and have joined - we have just set ourselves a lower target based on how many months we had missed.

Ok, I think I will join after all but I'm going to do it slightly differently so that I don't have to start from scratch. Since the begining of the year I've been counting off the reduction in my debts with the aim of reducing them by £4,000 this year so I'm going to continue counting this way (as it's easier for me to keep track) but as I'm only about £800 off that target I will raise it to the £11,000 **Gulp** I don't expect to manage that even if I make a super human effort but if you aim for the stars atleast if you fall short you'll still land on the moon :D

I'm going to be trying to earn extra money by having a good old clear out and selling on eBay. At the begining of this month I set myself a little target of listing 100 items for 99p I'm about a third of the way through. I've sold 9 items and earned £54.36 :D and have another 29 items finishing this Sunday of which 11 already have bids totaling about £19. My goal had been to sell 100 items and earn £100 but now I'm hoping to double that to £200.

Once I've finished selling the items I've cleared out I'm going to try and buy bits and peices at the bootsale and to sell for a profit on eBay. I don't think I'll make a lot doing this but it should be worth while.

I'm also a artist in my spare time (My website and blog are both called Amatheya's Studio if you'd like to see some of my work) and I'm hoping to make a bit of spare cash selling prints. I was hoping to do some movie character portraits to sell on eBay as I've seen others do this and it seemed like a easy little earner but I've looked into copy right and it's definately illegal so I'll have to be a little more creative :(

Appart from that I'm interested in free bingo and matched betting but am a bit intimidated by the idea of both of them. I've always been taught that betting is bad and the house always wins so the thought that you could make money gambling is just alien to me.
