I got a job today. I'm going to be doing an apprenticeship in Business and Administration at National Minimum Wage which is £5.93 and £6.08 once October hits. I start on the 22nd
Am really looking forward to it (even though I have to go out and buy loads of new 'smart' clothes). I'm really pleased because I think this will set me up with a good start in life and once I've done the apprenticeship (hopefully) I'll be earning a decent wage so I will be able to afford my house sooner than later
Yipeeeee.
Well done Fredula. All the best with your new job.0 -
Many thanks Elly, just now trying to decide if I've got room to store any more boot sale / ebay items. I already live in a sea of boxes!0 -

I just wanted to post and say how inspirational this thread is. It's a bit late for me to join now (£11k in 5 months seems a little mental lol) But I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for next years thread0

Hi
There are a number of us on here who have found the thread part way through the year and have joined - we have just set ourselves a lower target based on how many months we had missed.
I came on board at the beginning of July, half way through the year, so set myself a target of £5500.
If you start from the beginning of August, then the target would be £4853 over 5 months.
The earlier you start the easier it gets2011: £2697.99/£5500.
2012: £3295.75/£12000
2012 Comp wins: gig tickets, wallchart, charity comedy gala tickets, shopping vouchers0 -
