thats great really pleased for you .
fredula how did the job interview go and nikki pleased to see you back shame about the mortgage though as you have saved so much toward it .
getting through my list away to check out some books on amazon to see i they are worth listing

It went well thank you! I've been asked to go in next Thursday 9-12 to do a job shaddow so I'm feeling quite positive about it at the moment. I wasn't so sure that I did well in the task in the interview - I had to write a letter but the way they'd written the information on the paper was really confusing and I took ages to do it, but it must have been okay! I'm not sure whether other people are going in to do job shaddows too, but I'm going to try and do the best job that I can whilst I'm in there, just incase there are others! I really want this job! :)

sorry if i've missed this, but how exactly does this work? Is it pretty much everyone posting what they owe and finding ways to pay it off or have i missed the point?

    Hi there,

The challenge is to try to save 11k in 2011...either through extra earnings on top of your usual job....or some people start living more frugally and save the money that would otherwise have been spent. I believe people are saving the money in a big pot or paying off debts with it or both! :)

Well its payday tomorrow. I've drafted a meal plan so hopefully will stick to that and save some cash (cheeky takeaway tonight though)

Dress purchased for my Christmas night out (£5!!!!)

Stocked up on cheese from Tescos (buy 1 get 2 free). Got 6 blocks, a saving of £17 :eek::eek:.

Getting ready for Winter. Its meant to be a horrendous Winter again so I want a store cupboard full of food and stuff to keep cosy. Looking for good deals on flannelette sheets and heavy duvets. Also need to get some heavy curtains.

I'm looking for some long jumpers - no luck so far.

Hi everyone, I just felt I wanted to write a quick note to thank you all for the tips on here. At the beginning of the month, we decided we would like to buy a caravan by next spring, this involves saving about £4-5,000 by the end of March. Through a carboot, eBay & some other bits & pieces,we look to be up to around £500 this month. I came on to look through Up your income & have really been inspired by this particular thread. I've started doing surveys again, which I hadn't done since having my little boy again and am in the process of setting up a mini business, via ebay to start with.

As well as reading the new posts, I have started to read from the beginning of the year, a few pages a day & am currently up to pg 22!

A few weeks ago me & my DH read through another thread on matched betting & really want to boost our August savings in this way - betmunch - I had a brief look at your site & it looks v helpful, we hope to have a proper look over the next week, so I may be in touch!

Good luck to you all,you are a fantastic friendly group of people!

And while I'm here, just had an email overnight - Free eBay insertion fees this weekend!
