My jobs ending in October, and my manager spoke to me today and said that she thinks I've left in my head (basically not pulling my weight) and I said yeah I had and that to be honest I'm looking forward to leaving. Anyway, she said as a good will gesture she's offering me a months pay to leave now. So I've taken her up on her offer. Tomorrow is my last day of work there. And then I will be unemployed for the first time since I was 16. I'm pretty scared about it. But hopefully something will turn up sooner rather than later.

Okay, I'm back again! Mortgage application was rejected so I'm back on the wagon of saving like a nutter!!

At the moment my savings are around £8000. Most of this was raised in the challenge last year.

On August 31st my last car payment will be made. From September's pay this will allow me to comfortably save £500 a month.

Applied for an ISA so will allocate £5340 to that and put the rest in mu local credit union. If I can open with a balance of £2000 then I get a great rate.

Applied for a Post Office savings card to save for my road tax (only £90 a year but works out at £7.50 per month which sounds nicer)

Set up a Christmas Savings card at Asda. £20 on it each time i'm at Asda (I'll be freaking loaded lol) means that Decembers food shop should be nil.

    Afternoon All,

Have discovered credit card charge re-claiming on the site. So I am pursuing that as of now! I have at least two companies(possibly more with some digging!) that i dealt with in the last 6 years so I'm going to see what my charges were and push to have the money back. Hopefully that should bring a nice amount into the pot

Hope everyone is well and prospering
