    Hi all :)
    Sorry I haven't posted since.......well the beginning really :/
I would like to join in but hmm can't see me raising £11,000 to be honest - I'd be over the moon if I raised a £1000 by Xmas :) My situation is that my job contract has ended and I have to re-apply and go through interview for it in August, hubby is on long term sick due to waiting for surgery on damaged shoulder with 4-6 months recovery thereafter so we are really looking after the pennies right now. However I would love to learn ways in which I can save so any tips would be greatly appreciated :) I am re-joining a party plan business that I loved doing a couple of years ago and would like to be able to put any money earned away in a separate bank account and leave be - would be really nice to show hubby at Xmas just how much I earned :) I started a £1 a day saving tin back in May but had an emergency and had to use it :( Was gutted - I had put it in one of those money box tins where you need to use a tin opener to access it - was very sad to cave in and destroy it :( Think I will start again and give that another go :) I've got jars lying around with coppers and small silver in - think I'll group together some recycled tubs or jars and separate the 1's, 2's, 5's etc and save them too :)
So they are my ideas so far - I still think £11,000 is a bit out of reach for me but can I state a smaller amount for myself on here or is it best to start another thread? I also have no idea what amount would be challenging but realistic for me?

    Hi Jenny!

Welcome and please do join us, it would be great to have you on board. I also will not reach 11k this year but I'm doing my best to make extra and it's been very interesting to see my efforts rewarded and grow.

I set a mini challenge for myself to get to £1,000 by today and I managed it :j:j

    Hi Everyone
I have not posted on here for months, I did the challenge last year and failed miserably at £3,751. But I did buy a 2nd hand car outright with the money and then lost my job. I won't make the 11,000 this year as I have only just got another job BUT I will try again next year. I have far too many bills to pay, as we are on 'catch up' from me not working, although I ebayed what I could. I don't want to set myself up to fail again so I will join you all on 1st Jan 2012.

    Good luck to everyone xxx

I have reached £6038 - i cant believe it its amazing. Just want to encourage those doubting that it can be done to keep positive and give it a 100% focus. Most of it is in the mind. I have never done this sort of challenge ever in my life but i know i will make it - there is no room for failure. I am on maternity leave, had my 1st baby 6mths ago so even without a full time income am getting there. I go back to work 1st sept.

Break your big goals into little ones . Also its hard 2achieve anything when ur energy levels are low. Recharge ur batteries by relaxing, playing, resting and sleeping.
How Much can you save -£6038/£10000 :)
