Wooop I just updated my sig. I've managed to put in £1156.54 this month, although £900 of that was inherited. But yay! Only £4320.24 left till I reach the 11k mark. I'm feeling like I can achieve this!

    Well done :j
  • Hi everyone. Great to see some fantastic totals - well done Fredula. Declaring my total for June at £195.85, thanks to ebay, music magpie, your say pays, my survey, a couple of boot sales and netmum sales.

Bingo winnings have arrived plus £10 from Nectar making my total £964.

A tiny bit nearer at 37.75 on OP but very frustrating not to reach the payout. I did however get an very welcome £20 from TCB - I'll update my signature when the money arrives so I may just hopefully reach the £1k mark by Friday...fingers crossed!!

I have a question for people on here: what methods are you using to make money, hobbies, creating products or selling things you have.

I need to start cold-calling more businesses if I want to get to £11K. so depressing!

I'm currently selling things I own (or trying to anyway - things have gone carp atm, everybody on amazon's selling forum is moaning about a lack of sales:mad:*), plus doing surveys and clicks/cashback sites.

Got another payment from vivatic & topcashback so it's about time I updated my total.

Got an M&S voucher from Valued Opinions - meant to get £10 worth of free food but got distracted by a tin of sweets that looks like a robot /facepalm.

I've nearly got enough points to claim & wait ages for vouchers on toluna & am half way to the £40 on onepoll, & have joined more survey/cash for surveys and offers sites (going to quit some as soon as/if they cash out as they're a bit spammy).
Going to quit this-is-what-i-think if I ever get more surveys that don't screen me out and get paid.

*think somebodies kidnapped the selling fairy and trapped her in the seller so she can't help anyone with sales.
Getting closer to my target of having 100 things listed on amazon marketplace, added some more books this week, including some signed ones (one was a comp win & the other one I've re-read and decided I didn't like that much - why is a self-proclaimed expert on mainstream comic superheroes writing about indie/underground graphic novels?).

Not entirely on topic dribble: - I'm getting the itch to restart blogging & running websites again and making zines. (last attempt didn't go anywhere) been investigating web hosting sites and looking at promotion/web marketing forums.

If anyone else uses swapit, swapitshopforums usually shares the magazine codes & has a trading forum for selling things either for swapits or cash. Just discovered they've also have a links/referals forum with people offering swapit points or money for sign ups.

Been buying The Mail at the weekend for the reward codes (yeah, I know - my mum bought one, but missed the first chance for the voucher so thought I might as well carry on til I could claim)
the Tesco voucher is apparently in the post for the 2nd weekends codes and I've nearly got enough to claim a silver reward.
& those collect the offer tokens have been doing well on swapit.

My plan was to come off income support, register as self employed and then be able to buy to sell and start selling second hand & new cds/dvds and odd things more professionally plus affiliate marketing etc.
but I don't know if it's worth it right now.

Haven't contacted the job center or elsewhere for advice yet - (bit wary of being forced into another work placement, found the last one a lot harder to cope with than I expected.)
the helping people into work training organisation I was under was supposed to have merged with another one but instead they've been abolished completely because of the cuts.

I'm not even sure if I still have a Disability Employment Advisor at the job center any longer as I should've heard from them by now.

In other not news I've been spending far too much time obsessively trawling the archives and reading the discussions about comedy at Cook'd and Bomb'd (won't link because it's NSFW) & as a resault getting re-obsessed with Chris Morris (can't believe the Brass Eye special was 10 years ago - I feel old:eek:)

Finally broke and bought the dvd of The Day Today (it was under six pounds + cashback) I need to watch it again.

I think summer sees a big slow-down in sales in most markets except travel as people are going on holiday.

Well just worked out that I have sold 94 things on Ebay in June so now I just need to work out what I have actually made after the Ebay fees, Paypal fees and postage :)
