Happy new year everyone and I look forward to getting to know everyone better in the coming months!

All I am counting for my 11k this year is any money I earn on top of my wages at work. I cant do overtime and things and the yearly pay rise I wont include. Also anything like sealed pots etc Im not using as doesnt really count as extra income as its just my own money. The only one I am counting is the savings from my penny jar from the last few months which I am opening tomorrow to get me going.

Funnily enough I will be ahead of the target for the first day haha as I have around about £50 to collect from content creation and a sale I made so Ill be adding that tomorrow.

I will be counting the day the money goes in as the day it is earned so may have a few overlaps from MysteryShopping etc but swhouldnt be too much.

    Cant wait for this!

    How is everyone tracking theres????

Im doing a proper track this year both on a spreadhseet and I have an A4 diary where I record all the Mystery Shops etc I do. In there Im gonna put in how many reviews I do each day for the various sites I am on, the number of surveys etc etc and just see where my time is going.

As I said earlier aim 1 is getting rid of the £650 ish pound deficiet off xmas and then start to save towards driving lessons etc.

Last year I hardly put in any effort at all and made over £600 since august and considerinf the effort I put in thats a good going I feel and I will hope to exceed that very quickly this year.

Money last year was made from

Boost your Income! (Since August 2010)
    Mystery Shop: £188 Free Bingo: £101 Ciao : £18
    Dooyoo: £75 LightSpeed: £5 IPSOS:£10
    Valued Opinions:£30 Consumer Pulse: £90
    Quidco: £30 Captain Cash: £46 Nectar: £2.50
    Mag Submissions: £25
    Total: £621

My mystery shopping income is gonna rocket up this year as mainly last year I worked for two agencies in one area but I have really expanded signing up to a load of new agencies and telephone work.

Free bingo will be hard to repeat as it involves a) signing up and winning. Its all fixed and you do win first time round nearly every new site you go on so wont expect to gain £100 this year

Dooyoo I am aiming for that total at least each month and CIAO will increase to.

My Survey work should grow and I am expanding into content creation.

Loads of ideas and schemes to get me going, cant wait to start it all off

I want to try MB, but I think I need someone to hold my hand the first couple of times.

    Hi Nikki,

  • I'm signing up for this, but also the MFW 2011 challenge aswell. My aim is to overpay on my mortgage with some of the money I hopefully make in 2011. Don't think I'll make £11k but good challenge and every little bit helps.

I'd like to think of myself as a fairly experienced matched better and am hoping to make quite a bit of my 11k target from matched betting this year.

I'd just like to vouch for betmunch's website, it really is one of the better resources out there and beginners could do a lot worse than follow the advice that he gives!

I've thought about MB, but maths is really not my strong point!

Sooooo, i decided on my "rules" and have got myself a spreadsheet. I love a good spreadsheet me!

    Sarahz £11K in 2011 Rulez

Basically i want to aim to save up £11K.

~~ I will include everything that goes into our savings account, but it must stay there a couple of months. I can't include it if i get a bit skint and need to draw it out to spend on knickers or whatever.
~~ I can include it if it ends up being spent on a new car part or some other carp that breaks.

    I'll use money from...

    ~~ Ebaying / car booting
    ~~ Money boxes (50p's & loose change)
~~ Birthday money or other money gifted & saved (not that it happens often unfortunately)
~~ Money saved when i used a voucher or coupon instead
    ~~ DH's overtime (rare)
~~ Anything left out of the food, car etc budgets at the end of the month
~~ Surveys, comps etc (not that i have ever won anything!)
~~ Any money i would have spent on sweets had i not been on my new years diet

If i think of anything else i'll add it.

Oh, i'm doing a blog (see my homepage), which i'll try to get going to put ads on eventually. More for the hobby and motivation for the project than anything else though.

    Um... that's it! :)
