I'd like to join! I got a larger than expected tax bill that I was able to pay off £750 leaving me with £1200 ish to pay (most of that being payments on account) for next year - when I'll have a lower bill due to ltd company incorporation.
I'm paying the remnants of this tax bill over 12 months but I'd like to get that cleared sooner and also save some for next year to go alongside the payments on acct I'll already have put by.
I'm in the process of setting up a seperate account that I'll use differently as with our finances we always end up using the money for something, I also need to earn a bit extra for my wife's birthday in May, she got nothing last year as we had no moneyand the year before I'd just left my job due to issues with travelling and went fully self employed but it was a huge struggle for that period.
Any suggestions for her birthday would be appreciated too!(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -

How about a day of treats/ pampering (delivered by you) - you could do breakfast in bed, then maybe a massage, run her a bath with candles, dig out an old photo of you both and put it in a frame, take her out for a day trip somewhere new or somewhere you both love or where you first met, write down what she means to you, cook her a meal, give her vouchers saying you'll do the housework, dig over the garden... Don't know if that helps but i'm just trying to think of things where there's no/very little money involved but would still be special.Just £10,852.28p to go...

wow those tips sound great, I want it to be my birthday lol
I haven't earned a penny today, been very lazy with the ebay. I wanted to get DS old playstation and wii stuff listed today but just ended up lazing about! It isn't anything to be proud of but I am feeling a little bad about that. I should sort out more of a routine for my day to day stuff. I was meant to get some tidying done too but just couldn't get motivated at all.
Oh well, next week is a new week!!
