  • Morning!

I had a reply RE the free listing days for ebay, they 'cant' tell me when the next one is but i will keep checking the announcements page as i know not everyone gets the email at the same time.

I had another win of £5 this morning :) That went straight into the pot! Were all set for the car boot on sunday, I bagged up all the chocolate last night and it looks like that we should make around £50ish from the lot (minus the % i need to take away as it is going through the books) I have permission to sell the xbox :rotfl:its not really getting used, bar one game, and DD is too young to play with it as she gets frustrated and becomes really naughty after playing it.

Thanks for all the new ideas,i think im a few months off from hitting a wall!
    ;)

dillidalli-that waterpik looks awesome and I'll be aiming for similar. Looks like they aren't the most reliable brand though.

Yeah, heard a few things some say it's amazing others not so much... but anything that helps keep me out of the dentist chair is a good thing!

Posted my ebay stuff that sold at the weekend, so another £9.18 to add to my total, now £130.48 still a way to go yet!
    Sell £1000 in 2016 - £12.48/£1000
    Earn £2016 in 2016 - £0.00/£1000

  • Also keep an eye out for the free listing weekends although they don't seem to have had one since before Xmas.(You usually can't use Turbolister for the freelisting days though)

It was a free listing weekend last weekend (8th and 9th Jan) Cheltenhamgal, so next one won't be for at least 3 weeks I wouldn't think. :(

Anyway, heres how my attempt at £11k is going...

So far i've sold £259.53 on Ebay, spent £49.75 so i've got a profit of £209.78. And i've still got £65 selling price of original stock left.

Not too bad at the mo though i'm in that period between selling stuff and Paypal sticking the money in my bank so i'm quickly running out of stock and can't afford to buy more untl paypal pay. This should only be a minor blip though and hopefully won't happen too often once I get into a buying/selling cycle.

I do need to open a business ebay account though as I sold this stuff on my home account to test the water.

Haven't posted for ages and only have lottery winnings on my sig.

In the last week I've sold two DVDs through Amazon (approx £17 after postage) and ebay stuff sold for around £80. Need to calculate totals after postage then will update sig. Have taken lovefilms free trial and getting £20 cashback but only counting it once it's in my bank account. Also sold last puppy today for £300,:T getting picked up on Sunday but only going to count it once we have the money.

For me this is a great start. Am aiming to list 5 things per day on ebay or amazon so hopefully will manage to build up to the £11000! The sad thing is that I'm not finding it difficult to find things to list - obviously I shouldn't have bought them/didn't need them  At least I can bear that in mind when I shopping in future!
    Making small changes everyday....
  • Just counted up my loose change money out of my many Pringle tubes and I have £267.35! Gets the ball rolling nicely :D

    Morning!

I had a reply RE the free listing days for ebay, they 'cant' tell me when the next one is but i will keep checking the announcements page as I know not everyone gets the email at the same time.

I don't know if I've come to this discussion half-way through - but the last free listing days were 8th and 9th January (this year!) and sometimes, they have them once a month- so we may be lucky and get one the first week of Feb, BUT this last time they didn't email me as they usually do - I had an email from Paypal about selling all my "unwanted" Christmas presents which I didn't really pay attention to (I tend to delete all the Paypal spam that comes my way). The only way I knew there was free listing was from the Ebay thread on here - but I have to say I didn't sell many of my items and those that did went for minimum bid anyway - too many people listing I suppose...
I tried for the £10k in 2010 - failed miserably- so better try again this year. Still - I got more money than I would have done if I hadn't tried at all! :)
  • Do you have to make the money in your hand so to speak? Or can a saving contribute to the total? I am cancelling gym membership and a mag subscription which we have been paying £40 a month for (used to go several times a week but can't remember when we last went - before my baby was born though:embarasse) so that would be £440 over the next 11 months.

    Up to you.

I am not including savings or each like as its my money anyway so Im not technically making an extra 11k if I simply cut costs of other things. I am only counting money I made in addition to the wage I get at the end of each month
