Not a lot else to report, still trying to work out what to do to raise the extra cash!

  • Morning all!

Well been a busy few days for me so I havent had the chance to post properly but thought I would have a quick entry just before work. Most of my weekend was spent mystery shopping so I have increased my total somewhat thanks to that, although I made my first error in over 100 shops by doing the wrong site hahaha never mind. That meant £10 deducted from my total but I won it back later in the night used a no risk bet via cash back.

So my total is £364 which I am happy with thus far and never thought I would be so high at this early stage of proceedings. Started using Webanswers yesterday but as of yet I have no success and will persist with a day or two more before giving in.

Made a load of applications to places like tombola for online chat moderation, pirahana pro for an online sales rep and such like. All in my spare time which were advertised on the Job Centre site.

Im near payouts on a lot of things and thing this week will start slow and built towards the end and I should get easily over the £400 mark which is a great months work.

Been enjoying reading all your stories and tips.

Ebay is having a post xmas bad time of things it looks like so Im avoiding listings till the middle of march or so when people will have cash to spend.

    Morning all

I have made a few quid on eBay through a drop ship company but wanted to know what other people though of drop shipping and what else is the best way to make some money. Any advice would be welcome.
  • Morning, Morning,
Rictus - I don't know how useful this will be but I have been using groupon lately, and they do quite good dental deals. I bought teeth cleaning for £35 instead of £110, and they tend to have regular dental offers. Maybe, after this is over sign up for groupon and that way you can have check ups done. But, with less of a cost. Ouch though eight filliings!!!! Flossing will help, also it is worth investing in an electric toothbrush. Since we got a sonicare, I haven't looked back - and the OH is promising a waterpik

Pauldfc & BuzyLizy - welcome to the challenge!

As usual, it is time for me to get my to do list and then I need to take more photographs of products tonight take three  Managed to mess up a lighting position which means that I have extra added shine where I shouldn't Boo-freaking -hoo. Onwards however.
Wishing you all an amazing day!

Do you have to make the money in your hand so to speak? Or can a saving contribute to the total? I am cancelling gym membership and a mag subscription which we have been paying £40 a month for (used to go several times a week but can't remember when we last went - before my baby was born though:embarasse) so that would be £440 over the next 11 months.

  • Hi I would like to join but am concerned about how money I save or money I would possibly make by listing items that I no longer have a use for on Ebay would affect my benefits ? Surely if they are items that I have had knocking around the house this can't be seen as extra income as I would have had to purchase them in the first place ?
    Any advise anyone ?

I would love to get some of my catalogue debts paid off

Cheltenahmgal - if you are saving money or selling stuff you already own then there is nothing to declare.
If you buy to sell or do things to earn money such as surveys/ mystery shopping etc then the laegal p[osition is that it should be declared.
Bingo does not need to be declared as it is gambling.
    hope that helps

dillidalli-that waterpik looks awesome and I'll be aiming for similar. Looks like they aren't the most reliable brand though.

Thanks for all of the information about Turbolister. I have downloaded it and my plan is to add something each day and then scedule it to start at the weekend. (any tips about the best time?) I have one bid on one of my items (£4.99) so I have made a small start.
    Jess

I always find that listings that finish on a weekend attract more watchers and bidders. Also keep an eye out for the free listing weekends although they don't seem to have had one since before Xmas.(You usually can't use Turbolister for the freelisting days though)
Also don't forget to factor the cost of packaging into the postage costs. Amazing how all the sellatape, jiffy bags etc add up.
