OMG I did think it would be more than that. I have loads of things I was going to list at 99p but you think is it worth it if they sell at that much.

Thank you so much for the information what a rip off.

Paypal fees - depends on whether you have you account set to receive micropayments. Most of my payments are under 10pounds so I have it set to micropayments which means you pay smaller fees on lower payments but I think higher fees on bigger payments. I haven't had one for 99p but had one for 99p plus 2.75 postage so 3.74 and the fee was 24p.

Ebay - depends what department. Usually free to list if if 99p start and final value fee is 9.9% on most departments I thought?? so would make it about 10p

In 'my ebay' if you click on 'my account' you can see an itemised list of what you have been charged for everything

  • Hi Everybody

Thank you all for the comments been and had a look at fees for my account.

I have alot of smaller value items and didnt know if it was worth sitting and listing all the items or not. So will have a think on that one. But I have learnt alot about ebay from the comments from everybody so thank you once again.

    Hi Everyone
Good to see we still have newbies joining - all very encouraging. :j

Aprilshower - I know how you feel - I just had a bad ebay weekend myself. Sometimes it's not worth all the hassle.

Wilf - just PMed you about the blog. Good luck.

Quick update from me. Quidco £16.31, MS £10, Ebay £4.98. Just updated signature to show new totals - a surprising £196.13.

    Good luck everyone.

Hey guys, after posting yesterday...or Saturday evening even to say i had just done my usual 9 and a half hour days work on Saturday so paid at time and a half and i was on a high as i planned to pay it to the challenge. The challenge is savings so basicly whatevers in at the end is how much i made. Had dentist today(finally registered before weekend and got appointment) for first time in 4 years*note that im only 19 :( *

And very bad news! Need 1 tooth taken out and 8(yes, EIGHT) fillings!! So paid for todays check up and xrays at a cost of £60...plus paid for the next appointment at a cost of £135... Total cost of all the work(which should be done in just another 2, maybe 3 appointments) is £430. Plus then we will see what to do and take it from there....so could be looking at near £1000 once everything is done and polished lol. But it is for a good cause i suppose, i wont have a sore tooth and they will be in much better condition. So hopefully i will have the £11,000 now...the extra £1,000 i make is for dentist costs. So changing my totals to try and have £11,000 in at the end of the year, like everyone else!

So bad news but keeping positive! Hopefully this is my stumbling block and i will get through it and come out fighting and richer with a much nicer smile!
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

    ARGGGGGGHHHHHHH:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:eBAY!!!!!!

I had big bids going on my Rosetta Stone Polish Level 1 cd-rom set on eBay and it's been delisted due to copyright infringement. I don't use this cd-rom anymore and it's cluttering the house...but I can't sell it on eBay? GOOD GOD!
All I wanted was £100 and I probably would have gotten about that.
