Glad you have had a great weekend Em.
Not sure if I will continue the mystery shopping or not at the moment.
I probably need to register as self employed either way so will do that this week.
How easy was the form for your business?

Well at least you're all signed up now if you do decide to continue. I imagine it'll get easier with time too, I bet you're really good at it as you're really perceptive and reflective
I printed off a 2nd copy of the form and I was asking my stepdad about completing it and he said I wouldn't need to register as a company through them, as he believes this is for larger businesses. I need to do a lot more research of the basics I think as although it's only a small business idea, I don't have any experience of this at all. I can't take any risks with it and need to get every aspect covered. I've been running before walking again and need to reign myself in!
I received a book called 'iphone tips, tricks, apps and hacks' for Christmas. I've nearly finished it and so will put it in the post for you xJust £10,852.28p to go...

Em, if you want to go over anything about setting it up with me I'm happy to be another "head" if it helps. I helped my nephew with setting his business up last year and that was all by the book. I'm no expert but have a basic handle on it and I wouldn't be nosy.lol
Think if its a small business and just you then you can register online as self employed sole trader and they ask for a business name which can just be your own or can be an actual name for the business.
They have some guidance on there about making sure your name is not too similar to another business. I know my nephew did it all online as I was sitting with him.lol.

£16 on mystery shops today is my only input, after all it is derby day!
Got a few things to be getting on with this week so will sort that out and hopefully get to the £400 mark before too long0 -
Wow, it's just taken me an hour to read all the posts and catch up with what everyone is doing. just wanted to say I have read them all and everyone seems to being really well so far.
Elly - am not too sure about the matched betting for next saturday, but maybe next month. I wanted to set up a seperate bank account for this alone so I never get too out of my depth, plus I need to make enough money to fund it! How much of a pot do you think we need to start with?
DJSkyline - have you read this thread, and the Up your Income section, there are good ideas. Give us an idea of what you want to know and there are plenty people on here to help.
Pharmer - Chilli is my favourite dinner, and so cheap when you make it in bulk! And I hate that word Wonga too.
Margf - Had a look at Castoff site as you suggested, and signed up, might try listing a few things there to see how it goes. Have you tried googling the Dennis Law boot, or try ebay to see if there are any others around.
Skintbint - Might give the bingo a go so long as i don't have to sit there watching the games being played - so boring, and I just don't have the time
Livermum - Good luck with the driving lessons, and making money for a wee car, am sure you will get there
Will update total on a Monday I think, too busy on a Sunday with ebay, and the house etc
Keep up the good work everybody:)Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Jo - thanks that'd be great
I'll have a look at registering online as a self-employed sole trader. That sounds a lot easier than what I was doing! I don't want to create unnecessary work for myself but do want it all by the book as you say. I'll crack on and do some research and then come to you when i get stuck if that's ok?! (you don't know what you're letting yourself in for lol) x

I think he finally believes us that all the iphone can do extra is the phone/text stuff which we wouldn't be paying for him to do anyway. he has seen lots of apps that say unique to iphone. however we have been investigating them and they are all available on the touch. so think he may well go for the touch after having a play with it.
