just waiting for the buyer to pay so i can add that to my total.
halight - we were looking for a book earlier, i opened the cupboard and found loads more car boot stuff so guess what i am doing next sunday? :rotfl:
ive literally taken stock of the freezer and cupboards and made a meal plan for next week - got to stick to my budget this week if i want to get anywhere! OH is annoying me (gloating about the footie,he is a man u supporter, his brother is a liverpool fan) so the xbox and his kung fu dvds are next to go on ebay
ive decided to sell my nursing textbooksits like its the end of the line with uni but they will be all out of date by the time i go back. Does anyone know the best place to sell them other than amazon?
Well every carboot you do as long as you cover your petrol and you cover your site fee then at least you are not at a loss,
Now while you are at these carboots here are a few things you could do to help you rake the money in. You will need your OH on side to help.
One of you look after the stall the other take a look around. See anything you think that you can sell on and a couple of quid doing it? You might know of a car boot that were were 2nde hand cds sell better and for much more than the one your at. Try buying some and takeing them somewere else. Always try to get the price down.
Spot somthing you think may be of value? Buy it sell it on ebay or any were else you know. get thinking of things along this line and you will think of alsortsof ways to make extra.
Also get netwoking. Some others there might know of a bigger better carboot to seel some of your stuff.
Get chatting to the custorms ask them what sort of stuff they are looking for never know you might ahve one at home? Asking what they are looking for also heps with buying stuff to seel on. If a lot of people keep looking for cut glass then you know if yo can find some on the cheep you should be able to sell it on at a profit.
I hope that some of that my be of use to you.
All the very bets of luck:beer::beer::jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

How about an ad in the nursing department of the uni or a more local college/uni if you've moved away? I bought a lot of 2nd hand text books when I was at uni from the students in the years above me. Or maybe there's some sort of nursing forums out there - pehaps on facebook or elsewhere?
Or a staff noticeboard in the hospital?/ doctor's surgeries?Just £10,852.28p to go...

Bit of a late start but I'd like to try too!
First question (Of many I suspect): What's the best way of selling 'old' clothes? Most are hardly worn, just too small(!).
(Previous attempts at selling clothes at a boot sale were unsuccessful.)0 -

halight - thank you for the tips! The book we were looking for and eventually found was the millers guide to collectables price guide,OH wants to scour the boot sales and see if he can pick any gems up for me to stick on the business account and hopefully make a nice profit.
EM -thank you to you too - i will post it on facebook and get my friend to stick a notice up on the students board at the local hospital. I will ask my HCA friends too as a lot of them are students. Im gutted i have to sell them but i cant go back to uni as im still not 100%.
Hopefully i can get some bank shifts booked this week, more pennies0 -

Welcome davehills. I've not sold clothes personally and so i'm sure someone will be along with good advice soon. I did find this link which may help if you opt for eBaying them. Good luck!
