    Morning all,
I am really getting into this Hales style thanking :)

Skint - hope that the puppy gets better soon x

Wilf55 - advice on the money making side of the blog is pretty much what Jo said, it is hard to gauge how much money you will make and it really depends on what you do with the blog.

Some people make money from products and things they sell on the blog, some from advertising, and some purely from adsense. In all cases it varies from case to case and most people don't make anything off their blogs right away. It is a long term thing - most bloggers don't make any real money until a year to 18months, and others even longer.

So, blogging is a long term money maker not a short term, almost all the bloggers who I have networked with who make money it has taken them at least a year to get money from it.

Also niches can be very competitive - so really do your homework first before starting a blog :)

The husband is about to watch Arsenal so I am going to get my to do list sorted and crack on. Two items will definitely sell on ebay and also I am going to review plan for the year.

See you later everyone, I'll be back online in a while :)

Keep positive tinkerbel, you'll get there - and £41's a great total for the 1st week. Everyone has diffferent approaches and it's not always helpful to compare totals. Some find that they make loads in the first few weeks as they sell all their belongings and change all their utility costs etc. For others, the first few weeks are spent doing groundwork and research and they make very little, if anything. Just try to do something small towards it every day or when time allows. You'll soon find your efforts begin to pay off.

I agree. I'd be delighted if I could do £40 a week through this challenge. My total so far is false really. I've just done loads of things this week that I won't be able to repeat through the year.

Keep your chin up tinkerbell. You're doing great!

    Aww thanks everyone!
I've now written one more DY review and posted 2 accross on on ciao (somehow I made 5p on there since the other day.. I really dont get them!) hopefully some people will read my reviews in return because I've been rating a bit while I thought of something to write about! I know its only 30p but if people read then my aim is to make ~75p per review on average (used to aim for more but now the miles values have changed). I actually enjoy the dooyoo community spirit though but I wish I had more gadgets to write about! I think i feel bad because I didn't do anything per-say to get the £41, its just interest on my savings (which are from when I was a baby so I dont think they count!)

Hope all those listing on ebay and doing carboot sales and fre bingo today have some success!! :D

Tinkerbel - Dont worry I am the same as you, except ive not been ill, just not had time to get anything done, so today ive decided to start. I've done 1 survey on pinecone so thats £3 :D

Its great seeing how well everyone has done, its a motivation to really try and get started. Well done everyone so far! I promise I will keep posting as I really need to make some cash and If I keep posting I know I will be more determined. My mum bought me a diary in the sales, so I can keep a spanding diary and so far so good, as it has shocked me into seeing what im wasting money on. Im going to the doctors next week to get help to stop smoking, If I do successfully stop that will be £42 a WEEK!!! Cant believe im throwing that cash away over something so silly :mad:

Keep up the good work everyone! :T

Most of those with collection only come up with 'pick up only:free' on the front page. Is that what yours says? It sounds to me like you've done it right, but i'm no expert.
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

Yeah I agree, most of them do say free, but when you go into the listing, the postage says buyer to collect. I wouldnt worry aslong as you have covered yourself by putting postage as collection and putting it in your main listing too you should be fine. xx

    Hi All
I've just found this forum but thought this might be just what I need to keep me motivated to raise some cash.
So, although most of you have got a head start, I'm going to give it a go.
As I'm pretty busy, I might not get on here as often as I would like, but I'll check in when I can.
Good luck to you all and may you have a happy and prosperous new year!
