I still don't understand what is taking so much time in this marketing/admin possition that cannot be done more efficiently with better process and procedures
The product is selling itself so hardly needs any marketing/selling support.
If the production area is havving issues as well it moight bethe case of someone with a good idea product but no business sense running the place and spreading themeselfs to thin to even see the problems.
Opportunities for people to sort it out.0 -

I'll bet they are not.

For example,Northern Rail would have their workers working bank holidays on flat rate pay.
Becuase the RMT represents them, that isnt going to happen.
No, they're not in a union, although it has been suggested in the past. Maybe time to rethink! My employer's bank holiday policy is rough too, and we are in the union but there's nothing that can be done. How they work it is they divide your weekly hours by 5, so if you work 25 hours per week they allow you 5 hours for bank holidays. If you work, as I do, for 8 hours on a Monday I fall short of the BH allowance by 3 hours so owe my employers 3 hours for every BH!! For me, it adds up to the equivalent of 2 days per year that I owe for BH's, others owe more than that, but what gripes almost everyone is that those who have Mondays off gain, and one member of staff here actually gains the equivalent of another week during the year which can be taken as leave!!0 -

It probably boils down to the fact that some members of staff spend all day on Facebook and Ebay, and although the boss says he's monitoring internet usage, nothing ever gets done, so it's left to the more consciencous staff to get the work done. My husband yesterday left at 6pm (working an hour extra because he felt pressured into it) but had to literally find things to do as he had actually got everything done that he needed to during the day. And that's the thing, very often, he works his socks off during the day and almost always gets his work done, which is another reason why he begrudges staying on late.0 -
Next time boss hassles him about not staying late. He should say he's just efficient and gets his work done unlike the rest of them which is why they have to stay late! Boss is confusing presenteeism with efficiency. It's a common error.0

He's tried that, and said pretty much the same thing yesterday, that he had done all his work for the day and wanted to get home for his tea, to which his boss, again, said he was '!!!!! whipped' and commented that I wear the trousers in our house!! As it happend I was working until 6 yesterday, so on Tuesdays it's my husband that starts the tea. His boss has a stay at home wife, who apart from spending all his money, does everything for him. Not all marriages are like that, not all people are like that and he has offended both my husband and I with his remarks.0 -

I don't think they have one. I have asked my husband to try and find out because his boss's behaviour is unacceptable, on many levels!0 -

It's tempting to do that, and it's also tempting to stick 2 fingers up and walk out, but with a mortgage to pay, kids to feed and everything else it's not that simple. And we have to sit with this man at the works Christmas meal at the weekend .... great!0 -
