It was Chev - thanks for dropping by!

Nothing much to report here except I had £50 cash in purse when we got back from Barca on Wed eve and now have about 32p! And this is so classic...I have no idea really what I've bought! I had dinner out on Friday and a few drinks, but it was only a sandwich and I wasn't drinking. Saturday I was at work and bought a jacket potato for lunch and cooked it myself so much cheaper than going to the cafe, and then bought a guiness and diet coke on Sunday...but that's been about it!
It seems that if I'm not completely and utterly brasic I just fritter cash away on nothing much at all. Its how I got to where I am I'm sure. I have tackeled one half of the problem by getting another job so i am now earning extra money, but now I must stop spending willy nilly!
I am in the office today, tomorrow and Wednesday so have bought 6 rolls, ham and coleslaw and will use that to make lunch for the rest of the week. At least that will save me a bit and I'm not going to draw out anymore cash until Thursday which should stop me throwing it away.
Its tough isn't it! Bit gutted about it really - and the fact I didn't really notice when I was doing it. Oh well - you live and learn I guess.
Am going to Mum's tonight and so free feed there and we've got plenty at home to use up - might at some point need to get some veg but probably not til the end of the week.
God, I'm boring myself now!!!!
Saw Kick !!! last night (borrowed it on DVD) and thought it was great! Anyone else seen it? I saw a similar film called Super at a film festival and if you liked Kick !!! check out Super! Its about a guy who decides to become a superhero to save his wife form drug addiction by going after the drug dealers and he gets a side kick who is played by Ellen Page (Inception and Juno). Brilliant!!!!

Lovely seeing my Mum and Dad last night and better still as my OH is at work tonight I'm going round there again tonight! Yay! I really should stay at home and do the ironing but oh well... hee hee!
Got a lovely treat last night as well - Mum thought the last time she saw me my handbag was looking a bit tatty so she bought me a new one from Marks and sparks! Its gorgeous! She's so kind to me and so supportive. She doesn't know the extent of my debt - just that my OH live as frugally as poss and that as "performers" life is sometimes tough. Its such a pick me up too having a lovely smart bag on my shoulder! Might see if I can find some flowers for her later.
Really over slept this morning - still made it into work on time! Argh! I bought my breakfast with me though to stop me nipping to the shop in hunger and have rolls and ham from yesterday for my lunch. I might treat myself to a can of coke later but other than that should be a LSD if not a NSD!

Haven't checked in for ages so thought it was time for a quick update!
Busy weekend! I was working on Saturday and then yesterday my friend and her husband and baby came over and we had lunch at my Mum's! Was lovely. Her baby is 7 months old and just the cutest little thing! Back at work today
day off on Wednesday though! yay!!
Worked really hard at the promo job last week to make sure I got my commission - which I did! Its £30 a day extra, which means that if you're working 3 days a week you can be paid an extra days wage in commission! Nice!
I wrote on the March aims board and haven't been doing too badly other than failing miserably in taking my own lunch to the promo job. I have been bringing my own lunch to the office and only spending pence at the shop buying a can of fizzy pop which I'm proud about but then blew it by spending £8 a day on lunch - for 3 days! Dammit!
9 days til pay day and I still have about £130 to see me til then. My car tax is due at the end of the month but I'm paid on the 30th so will buy it the following day. Nothing really major to come out so my plan is to put anything left towards getting my car serviced. Should have got it done in October but funds were so tight that I left it when I knew it had passed the MOT. It's a bit rattely though now so really need to get it sorted out!
Been saving £2 coins again aswell, but only have £8 saved currently! It all helps though and I will put it towards paying off a little bit more of my ASDA card.
On my day off I'm going to try and get my new phone and contract. I'm leaning towards an HTC Desire HD - any thought anyone?!
Have a great week

Has anyone ever changed careers? I know it's a random question but I think I'm having a mid life wobble! I trained as an actress 10 years ago and have enjoyed a fairly successful career - nothing to shout about but it has been fun, interesting, challenging and fulfulling in so many ways - I even met my gorgeous OH on a tour, but I have to say I'm not feeling it anymore. I'm not excited by the chase of auditions, I'm not keen to get on to websites and find out who or what is casting. I need a change. I need a job that I'm excited to get up to do and that people appreciate me doing. I've no idea what. I'm thinking of going to see a careers advisor.
On a more upbeat note last night I set myslef a little list of tasks to do as I have been incredible lazy in the house recently and managed to tick them all off! I was bought lunch today for helping my boss book his holiday yesterday which is great as I asked for a M&S salad that I would never normally buy! Money saving!!! Dinner at Mum's tonight so saving again! It's only small little things but it all helps doesn't it!

It has been ages since I have posted so time for a quick catch up. I have been doing so many promotions recently that by the time I get home I am so tired I can't even turn on the computer! I am at work in the other job today though and at the computer ALL day! One extreme to the other! So I have a few moments just to update and check in!
So money wise...I managed to get to my last pay day with £43 pounds left in my account which was great for me and then was paid last Friday. It was a little earlier than I expected (thought it would be today) and because of that I wasn't paid for the last invoice I sent in as it got there too late! So £300 less than what I was expecting - but not the end of the world as that moeny was ear marked for my car service which I can always book for May. I get another pay day next week from the office job which will cover rent and the other bills with a chunk going towards the debts. There is some hopeful news though...
Because the office job is for an after school club the holidays always see a reduction in the number of shifts I can get so I have booked myself up with lots of other promo work which should mean a very handsome payout at the end of next month. I'm relieved actually because I thought with the holidays coming up things would get a bit tricky but thank God for the promo! Its a pretty hideous job but pays well and so that's all you can ask really.
I have paid for my tax disc and will have enough money for the water bill as well. OH will share the water bill costs and also pay the counil tax as he owes me money from the electric bill! It all comes out in the wash eventually! I also have a few birthday pressies to consider as well as Mother's Day and all the usual outgoing to repayments etc. I think it will be a case of buying what I need at the bare minimum cost and keep thinking that I'm broke so I don't over spend anywhere else. I must, must a better effort to take my own food to the promo job. I'm absolutley terrible at the moment. I need to get to the shops to buy sandwich stuff etc so I stop spending £6 a day on lunch.
I'm still owed a little bit of money from our holiday but I have to wait until their paydays...a little annoying but they are close friends so I don't mind too much.
I think that's it really for now...just trying to keep my head down and get on with it really. Off to the cinema tonight - 241! Love it! I got an odeon loyalty card a couple of months ago and have to say I'm surprised how quickly the points have grown on it! I was a bit scepticle at first but I think its great! I have enough already for one free seat! Going to save enough so I can treat both of us to tickets and food! Have also decided that I want to save all my Boots points for a new set of hair straighners. Aiming to save £50. Got £6 currently!!! Lol!VIRGIN £1336.00 EGG £1759.58 HSBC £2177.39

Right...its been ages! And since I haven't been posting things have gone a little crazy money wise...
Nothing too terrible but I really haven't been that great about not spending. I have been working really hard with the promo job and am expecting a large payday at the end of the month which will take the pressure off but I tried so hard to pay off some debts this month that I have left myslef a bit short and think I will have to put some travelling on my credit card. I have updates my sig to reflect debts this but I feel abit stupid paying off too much and leaving myslef short. I have got about £150 in my account to last til end of month which should be doable, but I've got a lot of travelling to do for work so hopefully I'll have enough!!!
I have been paid the majority of what I was owed, just £100 outstanding from a friend and I have also transfered £30 from Paypal just to help tide things over. I have had to use my savings to make sure the rent was covered but I suppose that's what they are there for..?
Haven't been able to shift anything recently on ebay which is annoying and I'm still spending far too much on lunches for the promo work. Will buy some lunch stuff on Sunday for next week and make a much more concerted effort. In tonight and tomorrow which will save a few pennies.
Has anyone been watching the scrimping programme on C4? It's really interesting but only 30 mins long so they don't really get a lot of detail in there - just very very general money advice. Bit pants really!VIRGIN £1336.00 EGG £1759.58 HSBC £2177.39

I just can'e believe where the days go! It's been another week since I have posted and I'm happy to say that I started taking in my own lunches to the promo job! For 2 days! Woops! Well its better than nothing I suppose - and I made a point of buying meal deals which were cheap if not totally healthy!
I think I'm being paid next Thursday which I can not wait for! Transfered funds from Paypal which has just topped me up a little until then and whatever I have left in my account when I get paid I'm transferring into my savings.
Money Aims for May are...
1)Get car serviced
2)Get chips on windscreen repaired (should be free through insurance)
3)Save money for a night away with best mate at Spa £99. (Naughty but will be a lovely treat and I have turned down a holiday in Marbella due to lack of funds!)
4)[STRIKE]Get a new phone and contract [/STRIKE]
5)Look into switching elec/gas.
Last month I stupidly signed up to this insurance thing were I can get all my cards etc protected and have access to my credit report. It was £83 for 12 months and I thought I would have access to my credit score. I don't so I think what's the point! Fortunately there was a c0ck up with them sending me the welcome pack so they have written saying I have until the end of April to cancel! Which I am going to! I also bought a dress on Tuesday for a thing in the evening which was £35 but in the end didn't wear it and so took it back for a refund yesterday. It was such a pretty dress but thought I must be good. A coupl eof my interest fee balances are coming to an end soon and so I need to look out for some good deals. Its tricky though beacuse I don't want to have too much activity on my credit report in the instance I'm refused but then don't want to pay loads of interest either! Need to look into options.
Bought 6 easter eggs yesterday in 4sdas - a pound each! bargain I thought and gets everyone covered
Just a little token - don't really see the need to go over the top with over priced chocolate!
