How long has it been since I have posted?????????????????????
Months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started my journey last dec and it all seemed to be going OK then over the summer things just fell by the way-side. Below is a quick overview of my debts as they stand. I have consolidated a few debts onto one card with a 0% deal and so now there are only 3 payments to make each month.
HSBC £2235.87
EGG £1759.58
VIRGIN £1386.00
Total = £5381.45
So all in all £14.53 paid off in 3 months. Not great I know but some of this is the charges from transfering balances etc and I have been away and paying car insurance etc etc so at least it appears I am living within my means which is a massive step forward as that was what got me into debt in the first place.
There have been quite a few changes in my life recently mainly to do with my job. I was working 2 jobs 5 days a week which were just temp jobs whilst I looked for acting work etc. I am now having a break from the acting side of things as quite frankly it I'm not in love with it anymore - and for a job in which you earn so little money anyway you have to love doing it! I am now working 4 days a week on a promotions job in which I have OTE of £480 a week (before tax) so in this way ironically I am now earning more than I have done from temp jobs ever and have an extra day in the week to focus on finding a new career!
In Sept I managed to earn £1400 which in any other month would have been fantastic - except October is a terrible month for me in terms of paying out! I have car insurance, contents insurance and the water bill all as extras and although all these things have been paid between me and my OH it still leaves me a little low until the end of the month! Its fine though as I have lots of work booked and have generally been making my commission targets.
Speaking of car insurance...why oh why is it firstly so expensive and why is there such an amazing difference between companies???? I was quoted to renew £277, my lowest quote I then found to be £258 but was also quoted £547!!!! I ofcourse went with the lowest quote and put down £19 on my make £10 a day in Oct list! I haven't joined the actual page but have read it and love the idea of adding money you have saved as well as that which you have earnt. This month so far I have saved:
£19 car insurance
£5 in pizza vouchers
£10 on enrty to a comedy night
Thats £4.25 a day so far! Not quite the £10 I'm aiming for but still a saving!
As part of my birthday pressie this year my folks paid for me to do a distance learning course so I must now go and get on with my essay! Eek!
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and I am looking forward to posting more updates!
Bye for now x x xVIRGIN £1336.00 EGG £1759.58 HSBC £2177.39
