chocolate cake seems to be the cake which defies my skills, it never turns out right, and don't even mention brownies, my first attempt i forgot to put in the flour now that was an interesting cake.

last friday i spent the entire day baking for OH's works christmas fayre. i didn't bring many home as they mostly sold which was good. I took a banana cake into work yesterday and that's going down well. I'm surprised it's lasted so long to be honest.

mmmm I love cake and I love baking (I'm quite good too) - even dabble in fondant work although more practice needed there :D.

I think if the weather stays as cold as it has been here (-7.5 yesterday and bear in mind how far south we are!) I will do some baking with DS - if it's warmish we will go to Winter Wonderland.

Not at work today as feel so lousy. At least it means i'm going to achieve a NSD. Got to find some sunshine somewhere in this cold.

I am having the new Nigella cook book from my sister for Christmas. I already knew so when I was wrapping presents last night she wrapped hers. She had a quick flick through and has informed me there are several cakes I have to make first so she can try them :rotfl:

now that's a gift with another motive lol but at least you get cake into the bargain :)

my latest cook book is a curry one and i really MUST make something from it! The meals all look delicious so it seems a shame not to cook some of them.
