Hi LT
Happy new diary!
I can categorically tell you that you are doing the right thing re the windows. We are just having ours installed this very week. I have - sorry had- rattling sash windows that had gaps everywhere and I can tell you that is was freezing last week! Already the living room, which isn't finished yet, feels warmer.
It was a really scary decision to make but I am glad we took the plunge.
I look forward to reading your debt-free journey.

thanks everyone. I've just rang up the company and asked if they can improve the quote. I can but try. If they say no then it's no loss no foul but i'd have been a fool and not very MSE to have not even asked. Struggled to get the living room up to 16 degrees last night so we have to change them.
Feeling a bit worse today as have sore throat/larengitus (sp?) and a cough which is getting worse. Blah, don't have time to be ill as it's the busiest time of the month at work.
glad to see some old friends and some new ones have found me.0 -
