That'll be why allotment sheds have bottles of urine in them .... Urine is full of nitrogen so u can re-use it on the plot ...

that may be you Bob as the shed is so small i wouldn't fit in it, and we have to share is with the vampire plot holder attached to us (that's what they call him anyway as he never opens his curtains apparently. That or the fact that he goes up only once a year, which is only slightly worse than us at the moment.

Plant more garlic - you might get rid of him! :D

Used to love our sheds - we had one and a half plots, and two sheds - one very basic one made from doors and corrugated iron, but the other one was massive, and had a little area at the front with a length of worktop where you could sit and drink tea, or pot up seeds etc. We fitted the front with windows on hinges so they could be opened a little way for ventilation and it really was quite snug!

I'd forgotten about that. You're right though! Actually, that reminds me, we also put a door on the bigger shed too......made it somewhat more private for getting caught short moments! :D

we're not allowed to add ad hoc buildings or sheds on the plot, there's a shed but it's about 3ft squared at the most, basically just enough space for some tools definitely no space for caught short moments.

well i really mut get on and do something today. OH called in sick, hummmm, At least i've been up for ages, and have attempted to do some housework. As soon as we've finished watching Glee i'm off to get dressed and go to that bloomin allotment. May get OH to sort the greenhouse so that he can stay close to home.

ended up at the allotment eventually, and managed to get a section only about 6ft by 1 1/2 foot cleared before rain stopped play. I got soaked through to the skin. I did end up planting 6 baby lavenders in that section whilst it was raining at least they were well watered in. Took some photo's of my mediocre progress and of some things which i think are raspberry canes but which i need identifying.

we had a frost here last night and yet today is lovely, i wish i was able to go up the allotment again.
I've got onions and garlic in trays to give them a headstart and some tomatoes as well, but still need to plant loads of other things in trays.
